Unlimited Activator, Reusable General Purpose Battery or Power Pack (Enhanced) by LiiHot

I didn’t think this product would work but it does and it’s awesome!

I ordered this to replace the obnoxious Neutrogena activator that only has 30 uses. I ordered the upgraded model which is a little rectangular white plastic box that fully encloses the batteries. It also included a USB to female connector that is compatible with the male connector coming from the mask. The male mask connector connects into this cord and the USB end connects into the battery pack or into a USB charger. (I used our phone USB charger.) With batteries, the battery pack is smaller and lighter than the Neutrogena Activator. It is well built and securely encloses and protects the batteries. You can use regular batteries or you can use rechargeable batteries. Note that batteries are not included with this: you must supply your own. Because there is no auto-off programming, you need to time your exposure. It's simple: you just turn it off when you self-set timer rings. The brightness of the LED lights seems brighter with this system than with the Neutrogena Activator. It might be a result of different batteries. Regardless if you run it directly from a USB charger or if you use batteries, they definitely are brighter. It didn't bother me and I felt this is a plus. I'm very happy with this, and I hope it holds up. Both my son and I like the Neutrogena mask. But the need to replace the activator is extremely wasteful and annoying. This was a great option to not be held to purchasing an activator every 2 weeks.

*** UPDATE ***The seller reached out after I left my old review and offered me a replacement. These guys have amazing customer service and even followed up to make sure I had received the replacement and was happy with it.The replacement unit does exactly what it says on the box. The lid feels a bit tight when putting the batteries in, but since then I haven't had to change them and I use this 3-4 times a week. So battery life is great.I have not tried running it off of an alternative USB power source, so I can't say whether that works as well. But overall, this works and has saved me a lot of money as opposed to buying the official limited use activators. Highly recommend it if you are considering it!******* ORIGINAL REVIEW ***Didn't work at all.1. The battery compartment is extremely hard to close and it feels like the plastic is about to snap.2. Once I finally got the batteries in, I found out the on/off switch didn't work.3. I tried using it via a USB plug and that didn't work either. So the adapter is broken too.There isn't a single part of this thing that works. Considering how the description goes on about not creating waste, I'm pretty disappointed that this is basically trash.

This thing works so well! A must have if you have a Neutrogena Light Mask. Note: the mask itself’s lights do burn out. I’ve found I could use this every night for 2-3 weeks before the lights on the mask died. Blue ones died red ones still worked. Still, much more economical than the 30 use ones sold by Neutrogena. Make sure you close your eyes when you use it as they were recalled for causing potential eye damage!

I love what this product stands for - ending the wasteful 30 use limits imposed by Neutrogena. I was so relieved to find a product to extend the uses of my light mask, and to end the wasteful amount of plastic and motherboard going into the landfill by Neutrogena's greedy product design.I bought the battery pack with the light switch on it. I used it for about six months without problem. But then the blue lights started to fail on my light mask. I replaced the batteries to try and troubleshoot the problem, but had a TERRIBLE time getting the battery compartment to reclose. It's really a booger! The switch plate to the battery compartment is very difficult to get on. You have to slide it over part of the compartment, but also notch it up right, and it's difficult to do both. After finally wrangling it on, the switch plate kept popping off! I tried rubber banding it closed, but then the batteries didn't get good connection and the light failure continued to be a problem.In summary, I like the continuous use function of this product, but the battery compartment and access to it needs redesigned.

I have plenty of battery powerbanks lying around so getting the enhanced version was worth it for me since it has the USB cable. And it works great.I didn't feel like hacking the OEM control unit for unlimited use, furthermore rather use my battery bank than recharging AA batteries. And I didn't really search deep for just a USB cable adapter (since that's all i really need), but the price is kind of high for what you get; just a battery enclosure (probably 2-5 bucks) and a USB cable adapter (probably 1-2 buck at most). BUT when you compare it to the OEM power control unit, unlimited use and no time limits and no need to modify anything, it is probably worth the initial investment.debating whether it should be 4 or 5 stars due to trying it once. After 30 uses wtihout problems I'll change it to 5 stars if no problems.

Not being able to buy the remotes in the US anymore was a total bummer. This solves that problem as well as not having to buy the remote at all! This works perfectly and really convenient that it is battery operated. Purchasing 2 more for stocking stuffers LOL!

Buying a new activator monthly was getting pricey - and the masks do wonders for my twin teens acne - as long as it's used every.single.day. I decide to try this activator instead, and it's done exactly what it's supposed to do! It takes 4 AA batteries - or you can plug it into a USB power source while you're using it, but that's a bit awkward since the cord isn't terribly long. The cover to the battery compartment is difficult to get off and on - but otherwise no complaints! My 16 year old daughter has been using it since July with no problems (and I can tell you that - like most teenage girls - she's not overly gentle with it). Fingers crossed that it will keep doing its thing!

I was hesitant about this affordable product promising saving money for me but honestly thank you this works great. Only critique is that the top of the battery cartridge is annoyingly difficult to put batteries into as the slide top gets stuck on the batteries when you try to close them.
