Pentax A-3000 35mm SLR Camera, "Body only" In Good Condition

Camera came in fully functional. I don't know if all the lenses that ship with it are the same but mine came with an 80-200mm lense which I was impressed with. Another reviewer said it is stuck on 1000 for light source but after advancing the film (like you put in a new roll) the light source goes to normal (picture included). Came with a nice strap as well. Will test out one of my flashes on it later on but bought this to replace my existing A3000 because of a cracked battery compartment and I would rate this camera in Very Good/Excellent condition. Have not checked for light leaks but will update my review if I find any but I doubt it.

In my previous reviews I have made the comment, "Most Impressive" when referring to an item I purchased. I guess an even better description is: "Overwhelmed, and in a very good way." This unit is incredible. Received it several days early and in better condition than described by seller. (Excellent seller by the way). Everything works perfectly. The camera did not come with an instruction manual. However, with some digging around on Google Search, I was able to locate exactly what I was looking for. I followed the instructions ver batim and the camera performed flawlessly. The only maintenance that I needed to do was to replace the mirror damper, which took only a few moments. I also checked for any light leaks and found absolutely none. I found the self-timer mechanism really interesting. First cock the shutter, lift the slide button up, place a little pressure on the shutter release until you get a flashing red light. Wait for the two beeps, then apply a little more pressure on the shutter release and you are good to go. It actually gives me about 13 seconds to get my ugly mug in the shot, so that is a huge plus. I truly like the automatic film advance feature, the metering system is spot on and focusing is a breeze. I will also add that this camera has some heft to it. It is not a lightweight, but that is what makes it so rugged and reliable. I am beyond words as to how pleased I am to have found this Pentax A3000, and at such an incredible price. I believe this is an excellent choice for those wishing to return to film photography or even better, a great way for beginners to learn on an advanced piece of equipment. I bought this camera for the lens,which claimed to be a Pentax 28 2.8 A lens.I was defrauded.The lens on this camera turned out to be a cheap JC Penny lens which is poorly rated.

Unless you only want to shoot in very bright conditions of people running this body is useless. know you're product before you sell it.

I am glad to have a working 35mm again. Perfect condition and working great.
