Goodbye back pain
After wanting one for years I had to at last buy this in order to prevent back pain after weeding, and it has been a purchase long overdue as I can work without bending kneeling or sitting, it does fine.

The pros and cons.
I found this to be easily assembled using an ordinary straight screwdriver. The end pieces are made of steel tubing which appears to be powder coated while the seat is also steel framed with a fairly hard plastic cushion. Provided you are not over wide in the hips it works very well and easily supports my 14 Stone 4 lbs ( 200 lbs or 901 Kg). I have a back problem (at 74) and find the handles are a great help in getting down and up again from weeding or planting out. On the distaff side. One problem is that the tubular legs do tend to sink in to soft grass and on hard surfaces, like a paved path, the metal where it rests on the ground is easily scratched. I have overcome this problem by using some of that foam plastic pipe insulation taped to the bottom. It does make it a little less stable, but using it in a common sense way it has the advantage that it doesn't sink into soft ground so easily and if your hands are cold, the foam plastic is better to grip with than shiny hard steel. All in all I would give this 10/10 for worth and utility.

Garden Kneeler & Seat
I ordered this as a birthday present for my dad and the expected delivery date was the day before his birthday. When I didnt receive the item I checked the order status and it said it had been delivered 3 days earlier. I then contacted Amazon and it appeared that the delivery company (HDNL) had delivered it to the wrong address, so Amazon soon rectified this and I received the item the next day (unfortunately too late for my dads birthday, but he's a nice chap and didnt mind!). It seems very strong and sturdy but not had time to really give it a good go. One thing we did have a bit of trouble with was working out how to fold it back up again. There are no instructions but we finally worked out that you have to pull up the bar by the springs, and then you are able to fold the legs in.Top marks to Amazon for quickly sorting out the delivery problem. Not impressed with HDNL as we're not that difficult to find (knocked a point off for that).

Useful kneeler
It is basic but does what is needed. I find it stiff to open and close but as I'm getting on I'm not as strong as I used to be.

Value for money
I ordered this kneeler as a birthday present for my Dad and I think he will find it very useful in the garden especially as he has knee and hip problems. The kneeler is very sturdy and looks as though it will take his weight from kneeling to standing. I was a tad disappointed to receive a Tango orange kneeler instead of the green one as advertised and it also arrived in the original box without any packaging whatsoever apart from the address label. This means it looks a bit shoddy to wrap up as a present. All in all though, a good product and worth the price.

Handy for the gardener.
4 stars for a handy gardening product that is robust, well made and does its job - ideal for someone more agile. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my one complaint and reason for 4 stars is that I would like the handles on the kneeler to be a bit longer there by giving me more height and leverage when rising from kneeling to standing or vice versa lowering my self from standing to kneeling - I find it too low and can not rise up or lower down unless some one is near by to aid me. Also this would make the seat higher which is just to low for me to use.

A great product seemingly marred by a design or product manufacturing weakness
The kneeler opens and closes easily. Is stable and I can get up and down leaning on the handles and feel fairly safe. It takes my weight, (I am not particularly heavy, but at 67 I need to use my ares to get up and down now.) The green foam pads are comfortable to kneel on. So it all seemed OK. The first time I used it there was a "crack" noise. I couldn't see anything so I assumed it was the frame moving on my rather soggy wet lawn. The second time it was OK and the third time, using it to get down to the floor to rewire and power socket and crack, crack, and I was kneeling on the green pads which were now on the floor. The lower green foam pad had detached and the inner plastic frame had broken through end to end along the central web. The kneeler is now unusable. A real nuisance. I looked back at the feedback and there are several other people who have reported a broken inner frame, from immediately to broken after a short time. I have written to Hamble Distribution and await their reply.

Kneed I say more?
I never expect too much, but I was impressed with this kneeler. it arrived quickly, in a box within a huge box as is the usual Amazon practice. I took it out, expecting to have to assemble it (as some reviews said you need a screwdriver) but, no, all I had to do was open the legs and they clicked into place. More substantual than I thought it would be, to fold the legs just pull a sprung bar to release and fold. Not had the chance to use it in ernest yet but have no doubt it will be fine. the knee cushioning is just right and the frame is large enough even for my 18 stone. Asan ex plumber I appreciate things that do the job. Good value, good service, only time will tell but I'm sure this wwill save my knees a lot of grief.
