Love these lights
We had our pool replastered and replaced the old 110v lights with 12v Pentair LED lights. Then we replaced the stock Pentair LED bulb which was white with these color lights. That was at least six months ago, and these Toveenen lights are perfect. We can change to any of maybe six different colors, or have them cycle through the colors. Or they can be white by using all the color LEDs. Much less expensive then getting the Pentair color lights, and these have given us zero problems. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Colors and Easy to Use
The media could not be loaded. We ordered the 12volt light for our existing American Products Company fixture which is the same as the AmerLite/Pentair fixture. The bulb fit is perfect. Our fixture has an 8-3/8" lense and we used a new Pentair 79101600Z Lens Gasket. Installed everything dry with no sealers or gasket lubricant. The result is unbelievable. Contrary to other reviewers, you can control the light by just turning the wall switch on or off until you get what you want. If you want to keep that color or light show, just leave it on for 2 minutes or more. After you turn it off for the night, the same selection will come on next time you turn it on. Very easy. We are hopeful this bulb will last a very long time. Time will tell.

This will work with all 12v wiring, but remote will only work with 12v AC
Overall I am satisfied with the look and use of this product. I wanted an LED light that would allow me to pick the color for my pool. That's exactly what I got.Where I have a bit of a problem is in the lack of information in the description. This comes with a remote that allows you to change the color, pattern, brightness, on/off, etc. It does not work out of the box. You must wire in a controller (in line) in order for it to have this functionality. You can still change the colors and turn it on and off by cycling the power. It's annoying, but it works. The other very important piece of information is the fact that the controller only works on 12v AC setups. If you have a DC system, you won't be able to wire the controller at all as it requires a Load and Neutral wire to work (DC does not have this).Again, it works. Would have wanted to pay less for it if I could have just gotten one that didn't come with the remote and wasn't advertised as having that functionality.

Big reduction in power usage
Pool had a 100w bulb and transformer, but I wanted something brighter, like 300w. Unfortunately the cost of a bigger transformer was substantial so this LED light address 2 items. It's much brighter and it uses way under 100w of power. Yea! Down side is setting the color you want. Sometimes, probably because of a power hit I assume, the color changes from the blue the wife likes. When that happens I have to start flipping the switch to get it back to what makes her happy. It's a pain, but fortunately only happens every 3-4 months or I would be unhappy. Swapping the bulb out is pretty easy for anyone that's moderately handy. Buy a new gasket with the bulb and watch a YouTube video for the procedure.

This thing is a color blaster
I purchased this bulb to replace the existing plain white halogen bulb in my pool. It is extremely bright and lights up the entire pool in various colors and light shows. This is a great way to upgrade without replacing the entire light fixture. To cycle through the 16 different programs just turn off your light switch for a few seconds and then turn back on. Repeat until you find a color or a program you want to keep. It will remember what you selected the next time you turn on the light.I put this in yesterday afternoon and left the light on until evening. No problems.

Replaced blown ColorLogic with this and couldn't be happier!
Why in the world did I have to go backwards in technology to finally have a better, more efficient and cost friendly option? Had our pool redone in 2005, and added in a pool light and niche... a very expensive $700+ Hayward ColorLogic... The thing only lasted 3 years at best.. ever since then it would work intermittently. I've been putting off replacing it for years because of the high price and all the negative reviews of how long they last, as well as the potential issues of putting a pentair intellibrite in the same niche and that bulb was expensive as hell too... so a few months ago it started working again and recently quit, so I decided it was time to research. I kept seeing bulbs like this and thought to myself, man, people with older pools and incandescent lights have every option available to them. I'd rather pay $120 or so to replace a bulb every few years, than $700, so what did I do? I read the reviews on this one and ordered a Hayward Astrolite SP058 fixture. I spent a fraction of replacing the ColorLogic. I received it yesterday, replaced the white bulb it came with, with this one, and installed the new fixture last evening. Let me tell you, this out performs the ColorLogic on it's best day. So impressed.. thank you.
