Manufacturer's Description There's simply no better way to describe this fantastic new game other than 'absolutely electrifying'! It's definitely the best shooting game we've ever come across and it's exclusive to gadgetshop. It doesn't matter whether you're male or female, old or young you're simply not going to be able to resist having a shot of Laser Shock. The concept is simple but the futuristic technology is supreme. Playing Laser Shock is a bit like getting to be Bruce Willis out of Diehard starring on the set of Star Wars!Laser Shock comes in a box with two guns connected to two breastplates. Each player uses the straps to fasten their breastplate to their chest, (the straps are adjustable accommodating most sizes of player), then activates their gun by pressing the reset button and pointing the gun at their opponents breastplate. This will cause the lights on the breastplate to light up indicating that they have six 'lives'. Once both players have done this they are ready to battle.Each player can choose between two intensity levels of electric shock. If you choose to go for the lower level of shock it won't 'buzz' as much when you take a direct hit, (this happens when your opponent hits your breast plate), but when you shoot your opponent you will only knock off one of their lives. If you choose the higher level setting then the 'buzz' of a direct hit will be more fierce but because you're prepared to take a greater risk you will knock out two of your opponent's lives every time you're on target.Each gun is equipped with 5 'bullets' - once you've used all your bullets you have to reload which you do by cocking the gun. You then have to wait 5 seconds for your bullets to be activated, so remember to take cover! Now here's the icing on the cake& the sound effects are fantastic! When you shoot your weapon, Laser Shock makes the kind of noise you'd expect to hear from a laser gun. It does it when you reload, run out of bullets or take a hit as well, (there's also a red light on your breastplate which lights up when you take a hit). It really couldn't get much better! You'll be ducking and diving all over the place trying to make sure that you don't get fried.The only possible way to have more fun is to get more than one Laser Shock kit and play in teams a bit like Laser Quest except that you can do it anywhere any time of the day or night. proper shooting game for adults and older teens
Safety first-this is not a young kids toy-nor suitable for anyone with ANY heart problems!!If the above doesnt apply then go- but I would recommend keeping it on the low setting as it gives you quite a jolt!No cheaating and denying you have been shot as you clearly hear your opponent cry out when you score a hit!Great for older teens( and adult men!Boys never grow out of shooting games do they?)Definately buy- forget laser guns and paintball-this is much more fun and much more accurate.

Sheer Genius - seriously, buy some of these!
This set is brilliant fun - let's get that out of the way now! Remember those trips to laserquest when you were little? Well, it's just like that, but now you've got a real incentive to use cover.I have a friend with one of those modern laser sets that occasionally beeps when you score a hit, and people sort of walk around the room with those, slightly bored and not really caring if they get hit or not.This is all rather different. The shocks aren't particularly strong, but they're enough to give you a good reason to shoot the other guy before he zaps you. Something no-one has mentioned yet is that there is a little adjuster on the front of the chest plate that allows you to change how easy it is to be hit, but these are a little stiff, and realistically not worth messing about with. Everything else on these things is top notch. The weapons are light to carry, but satisfyingly chunky and with good sound effects, the 5 second reload and the option of a higher shock/damage setting adds some tactics into the mix.Overall, these things are top notch, and guarrantee you a lot of fun!

Not for Kids - Its too good for them! Fabulous Fun
Amazing,brilliant,teriffic need I say more. No but I am going to anyway. We have twelve of these guns now and we have used them now for 3 years. We started with two guns at home and they were so much fun we have acquired another 10, now we have 6 aside battles in the woods with battle scenarios, although a good old shoot-em up is good fun too. We even progressed to wearing DPM (camo)gear to give us advantage in ambush scenarios.Yes you do look like a robot with the target on your chest, but so what! Its such good fun and you are desperate to win yet desperate to not be hit. It is shocking! There is little point in restating the product details as they are stated about. What makes these good are the fact that you can be SAS, Bruce Willis, OO7, Arnie, John Wayne or whoever your childhood heroes was. Pure escapism and no one gets hurt. Unlike paint balling where you do get hurt.Product review: excellent quality, very robust, good battery life, excellent range +5m range, good feel to gun, safety strap stops you dropping the gun when you get hit. Unlikely you will be targeted by an Armed response unit as the guns don't look like real ones. Sounds they make are great, backed up by the noise you make when you get hit. Five shots then you need to reload which takes five seconds in itself a highlight due to the sound it makes. You cannot finish off your opponent that takes six hits! So keep count of your shots or your in trouble. If you are hiding you cannot reload without giving yourself away fantastic. So buy a set and try them out and you will be hooked! Use them at night on sand dunes - unbelievable fun. Seriously don't buy for your kids under 14 or if you do make sure they wear a latex glove on their gun hand, or they may be traumatised by the experience.

Shocking!
I bought two sets of these for my partner,for christmas.He wasn't sure if it was because i love him or hate him! We have two teenage sons,so they,and any unfortunate visitor,(as i have refused to play) get together and play shooting each other for fun!? they nearly all love it,and those that don't,pretend,or they are targeted and tortured.I have rated them as educational because,aside from the fact that you fairly quickly learn to run and hide,they are also good for hand eye coordination.and with the threat of an electric shock I'm sure they can be very educatoinal!! The only gripe i do have is that one of them has stopped working,we haven't investigated why it has stopped working,we're hoping it my be something simple,if not,it's a disappointment.Only suitable for older children and adults.

WHATCH OUT...
After a simple test I decided to alter it. It's a lot of fun to see the light go off on the other guy (girl) but the SHOCKS are too much (I'm an adult and have good resistance to electric shocks). I desconnected the shock efects (5 minutes each gun) and now it's the perfect toy for the Modern Warfare.
