Fast 30-minute dry and ready to sand in 1 hour
Use in a well ventilated area. It is non-toxic when cured. Speeds up finishing because it dries fast. One coat will seal hard wood, soft wood, plywood, particleboard and MDF. Don't skip this first step when doing a lacquer finish. The end result will be totally worth it, as it blocks most stains from weeping through final finish coat. Very happy with this product.

Nice initial prep spray before final finishing
A must for soft woods. Easy to spray. Only need 1 hour for dry time.

for small finishing jobs this is a great start, it sets hard and sands to a really smnooth finish, ready for the top coat(s).

Smooth Coat
As an undercoat for lacquer top coat this sanding sealer fits the bill. After sanding the applied and dried sealer, the application of a sprayed lacquer top coats produces a nice smooth finish surface. Deft applies easily and sands smooth with 220 to 400 grit sand paper. At times I use 0000 grade steel wool between finish coats for added smoothness. Care has to be taken to insure dust free environment for the finish coats. This is an excellent product which dries quickly and gives good results time after time.

Lacquer sanding sealer little known use
I work a lot with super-sculpey and have always had trouble sealing my work. Some may know that regular plastic sealers on sculpey never cure but remain tacky. I had one project that remained tacky for over a year as I wanted to see if it would eventually cure. It never did and I was forced to remove the "crystal clear" with alcohol. I eventually discovered that Deft Lacquer Sanding Sealer works perfectly for sealing sculpey and providing a hard surface that can also be sanded and finished out after being sprayed on. I'm not sure how Amazon get's around the Hazard Fees in shipping this but if you order it anywhere else to be shipped you will find yourself paying double price as they will add on the "shipping hazardous materials fee". This is the best price I've found for this product! Even better than if I go to my local hardware store!
