An outstanding offering from the late great Bob Berg!
I've been waiting for this album to become available at a reasonable price for some years now so when I spotted it at rock bottom price on marketplace, I snapped it up. It is a lovely blend of jazz, rock and world music which carries on from where the Berg/Stern band of the 80's and early 90's left off, but also adds African and Latin American flavours to the mix. An engaging listen from beginning to end.

Beautiful album. Not as poppy as some of Bob's previous albums, but definitely innovative. The mixture of accordion with acoustic guitar on almost all the tracks creates an interesting palette for Berg's masterful sax playing. Children of the night, Riddle me this and Something in the way she moves are my personal favorites on this cut. However, when listening to this it is inevitable to feel sadness that we tragically lost a master musician and asset to world.

Not my favourite, but hey! It's Bob!
This album is not my favourite, it's too quiet compared to the previous albums. But still, Bob is looking for new stuff in here and it's quite surprizing when you compare to what he did with Mike Stern. I must admit "Ebony Eyes" is a masterpiece, I love it! Bob will always be an inspiration, RIP, Bob :-(

Brilliant
The genius of the late Bob Berg is aptly displayed in this tour de force of improvisation and musicaniship. Combine the bass work of John Pattitucci and Victor Bailey with the Drums of Steve Gadd with inventive and soaring compositions-all the while Bergs's urgent saxophonic passion weaving threads of life affirming joy throughout the entire work...truly one of my absolute favorite fusions albums. HIGHLY recommended.
