I ordered these to decorate my sisters anniversary cake. It was my first attempt at doing this. I kept the buttercream at room temperature and it was easy to use and apply to the cake. To decorate a 6 tier cake (1 inch for each layer) by 10inch - I used 3 tubs, 1 tub to secure each layer to the layer below. 2 tubs for the sides.

Great price through Amazon. I buy this regularly when making celebration cakes. I like the taste and texture. However the frosting can get quiet soft if it gets too warm, I have found it's better if stored in the fridge until eating.

I make a family cake every week of 40oz! I know - the boys eat alot of cake. My only cheat is that i no longer make my own icing as this is so cheap and convenient i get it in subscription. It works out at less than £2.50 a pot which is really great value compared to the supermarkets. It tastes great, homemade and is cheaper than me making a butter version. Plus it covers two layers of a 23cm cake i.e. the middle and the top. If I want a chocolate icing I add a little cocoa and a splash of mil to this vanilla one and Bob's your Uncle - it's a chocolate flavour. Although you can get the chocolate one on subscription but I only have so much storage in my little kitchen. We eat this every week and I am so damn fussy - take it as a great recommendation.

Absolutely brilliant! Saved me so much time for making my daughters birthday cake. Mixed into different colours easily and tasted so good.
