Received the PS5 yesterday and have already begun using it. Overall it is a great product and accomplishes the task of providing a very high quality photo for a fairly low price. The set up was fairly simple and i was able to have it installed and ready to go in about 30 mins. I recommend you definitely give this a try.

QUALITY: I purchased the bundle set which includes the 5 mat board backgrounds and 2 reflector cards. It arrived with parts missing, which isn't a big deal since it seems pretty hassle-free to request for missing parts. However, one thing I find that the other reviews did not stress enough on is the quality of the material used for this product. To put it simply, all the items included in this bundle- with material cost taken into consideration, could not have gone pass 35-40USD to manufacture, making the price of 130, in my opinion, hardly justifiable. The mat board backgrounds are craft papers you would find at the common arts & craft stores, same with the reflectors which are also just craft boards with a gloss finish, also can be found at any arts & craft store for a fairer price. The plastic stand/frame which holds up the light is also made of flimsy, low quality plastic. If you are looking to get your money worth in quality, sturdy manufacturing, I would suggest finding an alternative source, or building your own through Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and arts & craft stores. FUNCTION: With that said, the product functions as advertised. It works better than light boxes, but not as well as soft boxes/continuous lighting kits; but if you are handy with a digital-SLR (professional digital camera) it should be sufficient. It 'can' be portable but not built to be conveniently so. PRO: Simple. Functional. CON: Low quality built/cheap parts. Not conveniently portable. Limited angles. Limited height. CONCLUSION: If you are just looking for a quick solution and a simple setup to taking decent quality professional product photos (better than what light boxes can produce), then this will do the job; but if you are looking for a quality built studio kit, this is not what you will get. PERSONAL: The concept of this product is excellent. I hope to see other merchants take notice and produce similar kits to drive up the competition so that we can see fairer and lower prices.

After trial and error buying a couple of other "pop up style" table top studios, I finally purchased this unit. I am so glad I did! This unit works very well for what it was intended. My only con with this porta studio is that, once assembled, it's not so portable. With nut and bolt construction, it takes a fair amount of effort to disassemble it for storage. I got around this by going to the local hardware store and buying wing-nuts to replace the nuts provided.

As soon as I unboxed the package there was a paper promising me a free light if I left them positive feedback. This explains why this product has so many positive reviews. ProCyc, makers of MyStudio, are offering people free stuff if you leave them positive amazon reviews. How the heck is this legal on amazon? About the quality itself, the entire thing is made of flimsy cheap plastic. Its very easy to assemble but the entire time I was worried I might break the unit. The white plastic paper background that came with the unit was dirty and I had to clean it before I could even use it. It also has a limitation of not being able to take pictures from the top. Is it worth $99? Nope. $45? Maybe.

I should have purchased this studio years ago when I first saw it. The pop up tents have all these seams one must edit out of the pictures. The infinity curve on this eliminates that issue.The light is fantastic, though you really do need to keep other ambient light especially overhead lights to a minimum. Minor issues, don't bother getting the full kit, get the one that only comes with the white background. Two reasons for this. The other backgrounds are just poster paper, not as durable as the white plastic and much harder to get a good white balance when using a digital camera. Also the black is not nearly black enough, no matter what settings I use on the camera. Shutter priority or Aperature priority I get at best a dark grey background in my product photos. Easier to use the white and then photo edit the black in with a masking and layering technique. The reflectors are more of the same white plastic (great!) but use flimsy self stick cardboard stands. (really not great). And the reflectors come curled up, and even after two weeks of having something heavy (15/lbs) sitting on them to flatten they still curve a lot. So get the other version the one without the additional backdrops and reflectors...it will save you some cash AND it is a very simple thing to use white paper and your own hand made cardboard stands to DIY reflectors for less than 2 dollars on your own.

I never bother to write reviews but for this one I find it necessary. The product is ok, however it is rickety and plastic, their profit margin must be huge for a lamp, some plastic and some pieces of paper. The reason I chose this set up vs the others was because of the reviews, however, the one item in the box that they don't mention in the description is the note offering a free replacement lightbulb (a $15 value!) IF, and only if, you write a five star review and then send them a copy of your review. That's not cool.

I bought this with the PS32 studio and you might wonder why... This studio is much smaller than the PS32 (which I LOVE) and allows me to do quick little shoots as needed. I also love the photo paper in different colors that comes with this to accent pieces. You can use this paper with the PS32 studio as well which is nice. MyStudio provides the BEST instructions on how assemble this and tips on using this to get the best results which are all in a video on a CD they send you. MyStudio approach is different than the portable foldup studio's as it has no corners and really makes your items look perfect that are shot in the studio. One of the best investments I have made to purchase MyStudio PS5 and PS32.

My Studio PS5 is definitely worth every penny that I paid for it and then some. I have tried other product photo studios that are sold on Amazon.com and there is no comparison. If you are serious about taking high quality product photos for Ebay , Etsy, Amazon or your own website, invest in this product and you will not be disappointed. Best of all, this studio is made in the United States. The other photo studio I tried was made "elsewhere" and the quality reflected it.
