Product Description Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow) are flatmates with nowhere jobs who learn of a reunion at their high school from former misfit classmate Heather (Janeane Garofalo), now wealthy and successful. They decide to attend, masquerading as the inventors of Post-It notes in the belief that this will make them seem as successful as Heather. In the meantime, they cannot help but hark back to their carefree college days. .co.uk Review Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino play ditzy best friends who decide to attend their 10-year high school reunion, but they completely make over their styles and identities first in order to impress the people who tormented them. The two stars keep Romy and Michele's High School Reunion going despite various lapses and potholes in David Mirkin's direction and despite a sneaking sense that the idea can't sustain the length of an entire feature. A midsection dream sequence underscores the latter problem through blatant padding, but Sorvino and Kudrow--both of whom became established stars playing airheads on other projects--are worth the weaknesses. --Tom Keogh

I watched half of it, but became exhausted with wrapping presents. then it was gone!
I am very irritated, because one appears to only have 24 hours in which to view the whole film!!This seems very greedy indeed of Amazon Prime. I was very busy wrapping presents, and remembered this wonderful film, which I watched with my teenaged daughters (now grown up with their own families) - and thought it would be so lovely to watch it again. But having rented it "fairly late" one evening, but became too exhausted to watch the rest of it, was exceptionally put out, to discover that if you don't watch it all in one go... then tough! according to Amazon. You have to rent it again, and pay again, to watch the rest of it. Given the HUGE amount of money I have spent with Amazon this Christmas, you would think that you could have a FILM YOU HAVE PAID TO RENT for more than 18 hours!

Sometimes mean spirited but ultimately redemptive fun comedy
With a couple of minor stars who seem to have faded away somewhat - Lisa Kudrow doing her best Phoebe light and Mira Sorvino doing her best Phoebe lighter are the titular two best friends who really have not amounted to all that much when an old friend (Janeane Garefalo) lets slip that the reunion is coming up.Deciding to go but realising that they really have not done much of note since then they also decide to lie and not very well, leading to the mean girls of the time who have remained mean outing them and trying to make them look stupid and foolish.Throw in a friend who fancied Michele and did make something of his life and you get a somewhat mean spirited film that somehow becomes a a nice film with an uplifting ending that strangely satisfies despite not really being earned. It is a solid 7/10 of a film and I do wonder how different it would have been if Lisa had decided not to do Phoebe light?

An Uplifting & Funny Film.
I just wanted to sit down and watch something humorous, as it was a bit of an effort to watch anything at all quite frankly. So I thought, this looks good to lift my mood. I made the right choice!I really enjoyed this. It’s a precursor to ‘Bridesmaids’ and in its own way is just as uplifting. Lovely girls, down on their luck, nasty friends – can they turn things around at the school reunion?Actually, great acting all round. Yes, the plot is rather predictable, but hey, it made me laugh, lifted my mood and made my evening – what more could you ask for.

A cult classic for the late 1990's L.A. generation.
Some films are a guilty pleasure and this, shamelessly, is one of those films. Call me a goof for liking it, but I guess it appeals to a certain generation and at a certain time. 21st Century audiences may not find it as funny or fail to be charmed by it, but I think it's a cult classic and it will only grow in stature as time goes by (Or "Time after time....").

Not good
I found this movie to have a very thin and unrealistic plot. I am a fan of movies of this genre, such as Legally Blonde, but this falls very short of the mark, despite many positive reviews, plus the strong lead actors, Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino. For me, the best aspects were the dance sequence and the 80s soundtrack. I struggled to get to the end of this one.

Cheesy friendship film
I watched this when I was a lot younger and bought for a friend as an addition to her birthday present. It’s a pretty cheesy film which I haven’t seen in a long time but quite good.

5 starsssss
I’ve seen this so many times I had to make my teenage daughter watch this. “It’s got phoebe from friends” she says. It’s a great movie and I would pay to watch it again. I should have just brought it.
