The Aarke Carbonator III is a beautifully designed sparkling water machine that delivers both style and performance. The matte black stainless steel finish looks premium on the countertop and feels extremely solid and well-built. Carbonation is quick and easy, and the results are consistently crisp and refreshing. The included 1L BPA-free PET reusable bottle is convenient for daily use, and the CO₂ cylinder installs smoothly. I appreciate the simple, manual operation—no electricity needed—and how easy it is to control the level of carbonation. Overall, this machine offers excellent quality, ease of use, and value for anyone who enjoys sparkling water. It’s a high-end upgrade that makes everyday hydration more enjoyable and cuts down on store-bought bottles.

The Aarke Carbonator 3 is undoubtedly one of the most stylish sparkling water makers available today. After testing it extensively, I can confidently say it offers more than just good looks. Design & Build Quality The first thing that stands out is its Scandinavian design. The burgundy stainless steel finish is both elegant and understated, making it a standout piece on the kitchen counter without being overly flashy. Unlike bulkier plastic soda makers, this feels genuinely premium – solid, well-balanced, and designed to last. The lever mechanism is smooth, with a satisfying resistance that makes the carbonation process feel deliberate and precise. Ease of Use Using the Carbonator 3 is refreshingly simple. You fill the included 800ml BPA-free PET bottle with cold water, attach it with a quick twist, and press the lever until you reach your desired level of fizziness. There are no unnecessary buttons, power cables, or digital gimmicks – it’s entirely manual and all the better for it. Performance The carbonation is fast, consistent, and customisable. Whether you prefer a light sparkle or a strong fizz, the lever allows you to control carbonation to your taste. The resulting sparkling water is crisp and refreshing, comparable to bottled brands, but without the plastic waste. Compatibility It uses standard 60L CO₂ cylinders, which are widely available both online and in supermarkets, so refills are convenient. Swapping cylinders is straightforward, thanks to the well-designed screw-in system. Bottle Quality The included PET bottle feels sturdy and well-made, with a stainless steel base and cap that add to the premium feel. While glass bottles might have been a nice option, PET keeps it lightweight and safer for everyday use. Pros Sleek, minimalist design with a premium stainless steel finish Manual operation (no power required) Easy to use and adjust carbonation levels Compatible with standard 60L CO₂ cylinders High-quality BPA-free PET bottle included Cons Premium price compared to plastic soda makers Only one bottle is included in the box No option for glass bottles (in this model) Verdict The Aarke Carbonator 3 isn’t just a sparkling water maker – it’s a design statement that performs brilliantly. If you value quality, aesthetics, and sustainability, it’s well worth the investment. The burgundy finish is particularly striking and will appeal to anyone who wants their kitchen appliances to look as good as they function. While it costs more than entry-level alternatives, its durability and style justify the higher price.

So far, I am really liking this carbonation machine. I got the smaller Aarke stainless steel bottle to use instead of the plastic one. I like putting a lot of carbonation into my water, and the machine does it, though I had to learn about waiting to hear the buzzing sound when I use it. Then give a couple quick pumps - again until it buzzes - without letting any pressure escape. I use distilled water and I find that if I put a little bit of minerals or electrolytes or sodium bicarbonate in it - not so much that I can taste it - it gets even more "poppier"- just like club soda, which was what I bought the carbonator for - so I don't have to buy it anymore (and also so I don't accumulate all the plastic caps and (albeit) glass bottles). This is does the trick! The smaller stainless steel bottle is plenty for a sitting. And then I refill it with the cold water I keep chilling in the fridge for the next time I want more of my homemade club soda. The machine fits nicely under my cabinet and has a nice, sleek design. I got matte black - it doesn't show dirt or fingerprints at all.

It is definitely made of high-quality materials: SUS304 stainless steel casing, BPA-free, food-grade PET bottle. The bottle capacity is 1 L bottle, but the fill line is about 800 ml. It’s manually operated (lever style), so no plug or power cord cluttering the space. It's compatible with standard 60-L CO₂ cylinders (400-425 g), same kind used for many other soda makers. It's around 41.4 x 15.3 x 25.8 cm; weight of 1.68 kg (3.7 lbs). Extra items include PET bottle, drip tray cover, cleaning cloth. What I like about it: Build quality & design. The finish, solid lever, minimalist style, it’s clearly premium design. It looks expensive standing on the kitchen counter. Electricity-free operation!!! No plug needed, nice for flexibility, you can move it around, place it anywhere you want. It gives reliably fizzy water (you can vary how fizzy by how many lever pulls). This product seems solid, what means it will most likely last long time. If you drink sparkling water regularly, using your own machine and refillable CO₂ cylinders can reduce single-use bottles, trips to the shops, etc. What I like less: It is considerably more expensive than many entry-level soda makers, especially plastic ones. Bottle is plastic (PET), not glass For that price I'd expect a reusable glass bottle. The PET bottle is BPA-free food-grade, but that's not good enough for me. It only carbonates water. You can’t safely carbonate other liquids (juices, wine etc.). While it’s relatively slim in width, it is tall. It may not fit everywhere. Replacing the cylinders is expensive (about 20£ per bottle = 60L of sparkling water). Buy it if you drink sparkling water regularly and want to reduce single-use bottled water. And can afford the cylinders, it is a premium purchase, you’re paying not just for function, but for style and build. I hope my review and photos were helpful 👌
