Before I Go to Sleep / Bago Ako Matulog: Babl Children's Books in Tagalog and English

The book is an English book with literal translations of other languages. I purchased the English-Tagalog version, which appears to have been entered into Google translate in English and copy and pasted the literal translation into the book. Based on the lack of rhyme and context similar to the English portion, obviously there was no consultation with an English-Tagalog translator or Native speaker to ensure accuracy and integrity of the Tagalog language. Reading through other comments from people who speak another language besides English, this book fails to serve it's purpose to be a bilingual book for children whose parents actually want them to learn the language properly.Book made no sense in Tagalog.

Was a great gift idea!

Best book ever. It was my children’s favorite. I bought one for my granddaughter.

This book encourages a healthy imagination that, to me, leads to a life of color and creativity. Thomas Hood weaves a simple tale of a boy who has a great imagination and Mary Jane Begins uses her imagination to bring Thomas's story to life.

This was my children's favorite bedtime story when they were younger. I recently purchased this as a gift for my niece due in January. I hope she loves this as much as we do!

Good book for Vietnamese child

We all love this book! The imagination soars with each page. The illustrations are beautifully done and you can feel as the little boy does as he pictures himself in each scene. Highly recommend.

The translation is done too literally, a translator should not only convert the text to a different language but also make it captivating for the reader of said language. Because it was focused to rhyme only in English, the poems do not sound much like one in Portuguese.
