Can you use this on the surface of your private part? Not all the nooks and crannies but just the top areas?

I use mine in the shower with soap. I just make sure my bits and pieces are not in the stream of water because that washes off the soap. In this way, I am able to keep the entire area smooth, nooks and crannies and all. The soap helps make the movement smooth so you don’t get cut at all.

Has anyone had a problem with ingrown hairs?

I have lately, but I've had this shaver for almost two years. I feel like the blade might have gotten dull or something because this wasn't a problem when I first started using it.

How smooth is the skin after using this electric razor? Is it as smooth as with a regular razor or does it leave a little stubble?

No, it's not a razor, but an electric *shaver*, so it does not give you nearly the same smooth legs a razor blade would. I have dark brown hair and while I can feel a bit of stubble, there is nothing visible. The longer you use this shaver, the softer the stubble gets. After about a month you'll notice a difference as your hair gets used to being shaven this way. My legs feel pretty nice after using it.. and my husband likes it, so no complaints from me!
