My Feather 442 is only 30+ years old and I've only used unleaded gasoline in it. Perhaps that wasn't the best choice but it has lasted this long, including several years in storage. I pulled it out the other day and it worked reasonably well, but not perfectly. After a second usage it just died. The unit would pressurize but nothing came out the burner. Pretty classic symptom. Taking the original generator off revealed it was quite clogged. This replacement generator worked perfectly - after fitting it properly. It is made from a thin-walled brass tube that easily bends and a little adjustment was required to make it fit completely. I suspect this would be necessary regardless of the stove model. I'm keeping the original generator just for fun and will attempt to clean it to keep a spare. But right now the stove works as good as new and the flame control is awesome. Every time I think of purchasing something different I always decide to just keeping this stove. I'm happy to keep it running.

I was thinking about throwing my coleman stove away and buying a new one but this little replacement part has given it a new life - heres to another 25 years :)

I always keep a spare generator in my single burner stove carry box. I stupidly pulled out the self-cleaning wire thinking it was packing garbage and my stove died during a camping trip. I installed this little baby WITH the self-cleaning wire and it started right up. I only wish Coleman had not deleted the extra flame height regulator that used to be in line with this product. Oh well. You can still adjust brutally with the red knob.

Had mine for 4 years now and first time ive had to replace the genni. This was due to big yellow flames and it not shutting of properly. It even leaked fule as it was so waxed up. New one has it back like a dream...... tip is though Either use slightly more expensive unleaded fule like high octane or coleman fuel. also put in addative to help Burn clean. Normal unleaded has lots of crap in it that will eventually clog it up. Oh and it took me 5 min to fit
