One of two fluid options to maintain your Chrysler warranty if you DIY.
It isn't cheap, but ZF life guard 8 is the least expensive option if you have the ZF 8 speed in a Chrysler and you want to maintain your warranty. It is the exact fluid that Chrysler has put into their Mopar bottles. I believe that it is used in all of Chrysler's 8 speed ZF transmissions. When I did a fluid dump and filter change on my 2016 Ram EcoDiesel at around 99K miles (still under warranty just in case something went wrong), this is the fluid I used. I had about half of a liter to spare. I have since put on another 56K miles with no problems or change in performance. In addition to the warranty issue, if you are doing it yourself, there is no way to get all of the old fluid out. If you don't want to mix fluids, this is your only option besides the Mopar stuff. Just a note if you decide to DIY - start with the car dead cold, have some method of pumping the fluid into the transmission (I purchased a new garden sprayer - slick), and give yourself an extra day to get dead cold again in case you go over temp during the fill procedure. The higher the ambient temperature, the less time you have.

Seems good
Works awesome, thought I would also share a sad picture of one of the cheaper transmission fillers off of amazon, be careful if you get one of these. Yes, that's $158 of this great zf8 transmission fluid dumped on the ground because the transmission filler blew the hose off while I was getting my torque wrench ready and drained the first batch onto the sidewalk.

Don't skimp on a ZF 8 speed automatic
Don't take any chances---use the right fluid for your ZF 8 speed trans. This is a precision electronically shifted trans and requires the correct fluid. Shy away from using any universal trans fluid.

shifts better
Changed the "lifetime" oil in 2016 X5 5.0 at 50,000 miles. I haven't liked the shifting since I bought the car at 15k miles, felt sluggish, pushing pedal for slight changes while cruising and, hesitation at slow speeds and stops. Shifting feels crisper due to the new oil or that the ZF Lifeguard 8 oil is different than BMW factory fill. Only took 4.5 liters for a drain only change. I did not attempt to purge the trans. cooler. ZF GA8HP75 Trans. The negative here is price of oil, and I didn't need all 7 liters.

2014 Ram 1500 trans oil change
Changed transmission fluid on my 2014 ram 1500 Laramie. A little bit of a process to fro the oil and pan change but well worth it. I wish I had gotten a quote from the dealer for the work as between the fluid and pan it added up to a few hundred dollars. I will say that I wish I had changed the oil sooner. With 65000 miles the original oil was dark and the pan had silver flakes in the bottom. I could also see the magnets on the pan were full of metal debris. Chrysler recommended 100k to change but ZF says 55-75k. The oil is very pungent but pretty thin so with one of those cheap lift pumps it’s easy to get into the transmission. Took me about 5.75 L to refill mine. So far I can tell the truck feels quite a bit more responsive between gears. No hesitation where over the years it seemed to. Also downshifts going downhill used to bump and bit and that seems to have gone away. Very happy I did the work and glad I went with OEM fluid.
