Will these work for T-connecting outdoor landscape wires? The insulation is thicker on landscape wiring. Thanks.

The larger one's will. If all you're going to do is landscape wiring, I'd just get the tapIT in the gauge for your wire. These are very handy, but they're also pricey.

Can i tap 20 gauge wire with 16-18 (blue) connector?

I have used under and over sized taps for wire gauge just out of range in the past with no issues. As long as the tap secures the wire and the needle is center of the wire then it should work. Just try it and see if it works. If it doesn’t just disassemble the connection. You can reuse the tap. Check the connection with an Ohms meter.

Are the tap waterproof ?

I’ve used these Posi-Taps on a motorcycle connection in the headlight fairing area with no issues but no, this particular design is not waterproof. The company does make waterproof connectors too. I’ve used the waterproof posi-taps in an exterior situation and they also worked fine.

How Big? The yellow ones are for wire size #10-12 , the blue are for wire size #14 thru #18, and the red are for wire size #20-#22. The length varies, yellow about 5/8" long, the blue are roughly 1/2" long,and the red are roughly 3/8". I hope this helps.
