Do these have velcro to fasten to the holder?

The material of the pad acts like Velcro when used with the 3M doodlebug scrub pad holder (the pad sticks to the holder automatically).

I read the white pads are needed for removing the build up from hardwood floors, is that true?

Yes, along with a solvent that loosens the build-up. Could use a strong concentration of cleaner to water mix instead of the solvent wax remover.

What mop handle does it need?

I am simply using a threaded wooden handle, but you need the doodle bug attachment that holds the scrubber pad

Does this work better than Magic Eraser?

In my opinion, anything would work better than magic eraser.

Performed As Expected

Be aware 3M pads come in colors designed for the application. We have a brand name engineered tile floor that had some scuff marks from installation. Regular cleaning still left a grout residue. We didn't want to do harsh cleaning for fear of abraiding the sheen of the tile. Read somewhere that one should use this abrasion level of a 3M pad. It worked great -- residue came off and tile surface remained OK.
