This laptop works great but it's not something you'd want to carry around because it is heavy. There are tons of reviews available online, so I won't repeat all they say. It lives up to the hype and performs reliably.

Works as expected, looks slick, and runs cool, going from a X15R2 to this is a night and day difference, the 5080 is leagues ahead of the 3070ti and having the ability to change ram and the option to have 3 ssds is so nice. The cpu in this is blazing fast as well, it's a little overpriced at 3k plus but I won't have buyers remose over this purchase.

I really wanted to like this laptop, but the unit I received turned out to be defective. It worked fine for the first couple of days, although I did notice some minor audio issues early on. Then it suddenly froze completely and crashed with an error screen, and I wasn’t able to recover it afterward. I’m returning it because the device simply isn’t reliable. Maybe I just got a bad unit, but based on my experience, I can’t really recommend it.

I've really like my Alienware 18" laptop. It's fast, and the screen is big and high quality. It has two downsides: it's heavy (which is to be expected for a big gaming laptop), and it runs a little hot when in performance mode (which is also to be expected for a gaming laptop that is as fast as this one is). If you're looking for a small, easily portable laptop, this isn't your machine. But if you're looking for a fast gaming laptop with great graphics, this might be the right one for you.

This is my 3rd Alienware laptop, and I have loved them all. Of course the cost is very pricey, but for me its worth it. I did have to get through about 2 hours updates when I first started it up. The built quality is really great, plenty of memory for my use, the sound quality is just okay, sounds very boxy. Fans work really great, this laptop runs much cooler then I thought it would. Two complaints: The startup sound is not controllable at all and you can not mute it, 2nd I wish I could control keeping the touchpad light on all the time and other adjustments for it. Update to my first review.. I had to lower the rating of this laptop. After 6 months of owning it I have spent almost 20% of its on time dealing with updates and restarts. Also, had an update cause a complete black screen so I had to preform a complete factory reboot. The alienware support features are now gone "no longer supported", though it still shows up, but does nothing. I paid close to 4k for this laptop and at this point I just should have gone with something with the same specs with half the price, Alienware seems to have lost its edge. Microsoft and Copilot are just going to continue their unwanted updates and Alienware and Dell couldn't care less it seems. Well I got 2 months of owning a really cool laptop. But then....well read above.

Awesome lab top, Its big though

The laptop itself runs amazing. The hardware in it is more than capable of keeping up with modern titles. Buyer beware, however, because the SSD is only a Gen 3 despite the title saying Gen 5 and the description saying Gen 4. Please see the picture of the SanDisk dashboard for the interface speed. Update: So more shadiness that I just discovered. The RAM is advertised as 2x16GB DDR5-6400, and the service tag specs confirm this. However, there is one stick of 32GB ADATA RAM at DDR5-5600 (P/N: AD5S560032G-B). I doubt the RAM is CSODIMM as what the service tag says the 2x16GB is supposed to be. I will have to physically check if there's a clock driver on the module (highly doubt it because of researching the ADATA part number). I'm glad I bought this machine at its lowest price, or I would be very upset at the slower RAM and the lack of PCIe Gen 5 NVMe.

I recently purchase this laptop, it was alway something I wanted but couldn't purchase it. Thanks to the offered package deal Amazon afford me this dream became a reality! Hats off to amazon and the online chat team that made this happen, thanks very much for meeting your customers at the point of their need. Boy this laptop didn't disappoint, I use it for work purposes and its a head turner for sure... the sheer speed of opening documents, working on multiple screens is mind blowing. Functionality is unmatched from all other laptops I have used, this laptop is running full system updates whilst working on powerpoint, word documents and have games running on the back ground. its durable engineering is amazing and the slimmer design on the 2025 Area-51 model make it easier for transporting. I recommend the Alienware 18" Backpack
