Here is what they are doing right now: Recycled and recyclable: Durable YOXO links are made from 95% SFI-certified recycled wood fiber and are 100% recyclable. YOXO uses FSC-certified post-consumer recycled paper and cardboard whenever possible. Made in the USA: Link manufacturing and kit assembly takes place in YOXO's Saint Paul, Minnesota workshop. They source all of their raw materials and packaging in the Midwest region of the United States. Minimal packaging and waste: All YOXO packaging is reusable as storage for YOXO links. They use 100% recycled paper instead of packing peanuts and do not shrink wrap their kits. Their Saint Paul facility is near zero waste (90%). Wind-powered: YOXO participates in the Xcel Energy Windsource program. Water-cut: YOXO links are cut using Minnesota-made Jet Edge water jet cutters, using pure water moving at the speed of sound. This eliminates the need for cutting dies that wear out and have to be discarded. Resourceful: YOXO connects with other recyclable materials such as paper towel rolls and cereal boxes, encouraging open-ended resourceful play and eliminates waste headed to a landfill.
