What is the clinical evidence behind this product? OxyRub (with 1.25% menthol) was compared to a leading pain cream (also with 1.25% menthol) in a clinical study. This was a double-blind, randomized, controlled head-to-head study of two topically applied analgesics for treatment of acute musculoskeletal pain in 75 normal healthy adults. By day 8 of treatment, the OxyRub group reported a 59.5% decrease in pain while the other group reported a 32.3% decrease (compared to before using their creams).
