Great for cleaning encrusted minerals
I was very happy to find this product for cleaning. It removed the calcium buildup in my toilets overnight. I've also used it for cleaning calcium buildup on faucets (we have very hard water). Works better than commercial calcium-lime removers, and much less expensive. Best to use rubber gloves; it is strong enough to cause mild irritation on hands.

Pickling, Cleaning, Skin Cleanser, Stops Fruit Browning, and Much More.
What a great find I am so happy right now this is one of my favorite things so I got the 1 lb bag it is well packaged the zip resealable bag is heavy so I do not worry there, you can always put it in a jar if you like. I passed my taste taste, yep I know freaky hah? But I am a tartness freak Uses 1 One time I ran out of lemon juice and really wanted a lemonade so I improvised I dissolved about 1 8th teaspoon of the powder in water with a few drops of lemon oil for flavor this powder gives it the tanginess real lemon juice has. Add ice stir and your in business 2 Greasy messes this stuff is my kicking greases butt best bud, mixed with liquid dish soap this zaps the hell out of the nasty grease making cleanup way faster and easier 3 Laundry sometimes when we sadly have that frickin doesn't want to leave it's comfy new home aka your clothes hard to remove grime I mix 1 tablespoon of this with laundry soap for 1 load of laundry this gives the soap an extra boost and in most cases doubles the cleaning effect 4 As others said yup it also removes rust 5 I make soap and once in a while the color is lousy but a few pinches of this I found lightens it, but you should know depending on the amount used it also causes thickening 6 Excellent skin cleanser especially for oily skin when mixed with soap and used as a facial wash, in baths and showers, and best of all it is all natural. Well the acid and I have adventures ahead so happy reviewer is gonna go play now, lol and hope this helps

Works great
I use this for homemade salsa. I had to decrease the amount from 1 tsp to 1/2 tsp. I use this in canning. Also use this for cleaning stainless steel. This works much better than my last citric acid. Will buy this one again.

Trying To Remove Indigo From Your Hair?
I bought this because I am what you call impulsive, and decided to dye my hair with henna and indigo one day. Unfortunately, the color turned out too dark for me and I wanted to remove some or all of it. A friend said she read online that someone put 5 tablespoons of citric acid and 5 cups warm water in a bowl, then applied it to her hair. I decided to try this since a previous application of color oops did not help remove as much of the hendigo as I would have liked. I left my hair up with a shower cap on for 2 hours and then rinsed my hair. I was pleasantly surprised to see that a lot more of the indigo had been removed, leaving more of the red/auburn hair from the henna. I am totally okay with that! I just wanted the black indigo out of my hair. Not all of the indigo was removed, but some ~ I would say I came out about one shade lighter. My hair was not dried out or damaged in any way either. This may not work for everyone, but it helped me and I hope it helps you get some of that indigo out! Good luck!

as expected for dish powder use
Purchased this as an ingredient to make dish powder: 10oz salt 40 drops favorite essential oil 2lb 9oz washing soda 8 oz citric acid My dishes are clean & spot free. Every now and then we will have one or two dishes that need to be rewashed. But I like knowing what ingredients I am using. Just what I was looking for.

I have nothing bad to report about this product. It is what its supposed to be, the price is right and it makes for a nice home made lemonade when combined with a little drop of cream of tartar and a pinch of Stevia powder extract! The cream of tartar turns into potassium bitartrate when reacting chemically with the citric acid. Add a pinch of salt to it and you've got yourself an electrolyte mix for a fraction of these criminally-priced electrolyte packets. This is great for people fasting or on the carnivore diet who are no longer getting their daily requirement of sodium from pre-made corporate food products. You've gotta add it yourself. Btw.. without electrolytes, we wouldnt be alive.

Bought this to make bath bombs, but also used it to make sour candy. Worked well for both purposes.

Product is fine but the bag was broken and the citric acid powder was everywhere in the box.

It's a great value, and perfect for the uses I need. I use it mostly as a food additive (in baking and candy making) and as an ingredient in a rehydration solution. It leaves to residue in the water and no off taste, and it dissolves readily. Very pure.
