The Yaxell Hana series offers extraordinary value in a handcrafted Japanese nakiri knife with impeccable finishing touches and minimalist simplicity. The core steel ("MOVAX") is highly corrosion resistant and hard enough to hold a fine edge, but soft enough to be more forgiving and more durable than the harder Japanese steels found in other knives. These knives may require a bit more frequent honing, but definitely will not chip as easily as the super hard steels. Yaxell created a simple yet comfortable and perfectly fitted octagonal handle made of dark brown walnut colored pakkawood. The blade is hand sharpened to a 12 degree double bevel angle. Yaxell Hana knives are light, thin and razor sharp. Handcrafted in Seki, Japan with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
