This pond filter has been running over a month with no problem I am adding an external UV light to reduce algae.

Has lasted me through the summer so far. Pond is shaded with lots of falling debris. Water has been clear all summer!

I love the compact design of this kit. I have a waterfall feature in my backyard rock garden where a family of frogs have been procreating for three generations but keeping the waterfall going has been a fair amount of work due to the debris and leaves that settle in the pond and the long New England winter freezes. A quality filtering system and a quality pump have been essential but even at that, the pump needed replacing every five years. The previous filter setup was separe from the pump and quite obstrusive. Not so with the kit. The pump fits neatly into the filter housing. Additionally, the housing also contains a system of cleanable filters and bags of plastic balls that further act as agents to naturally clarify the recirculated water. This kit was easy to hook up and needed only a screwdriver to secure the hose to the barb fitting. There is an array of attachments and extensions if one is looking for a different feature than the simple waterfall of my setup. I have been running this new kit for a week and the water has become noticeable clearer. The pump, however, is underpowered compared to my last pump so the waterfall is more of a water trickle. The sound of the water nonetheless, still fills my yard and gives it a tranquil, meditative character. When this new pump eventually dies, it is reassuring that swapping out a pump for a stronger one will be an easy job.

this fountain is great. works wonderfully, appears it will last a really long time. it takes a little bit to set it up but the directions are pretty substantial. in the beginning we put it in a small pond area that was only about 6 ft in diameter and that proved to be too strong. so now it's in our larger pond in our pasture. seems to hold a charge. well! looking forward to having this last a really long time. very happy with the quality.
