These butter paddles are great for cubing up the butter, the wood does not chip, the size is very manageable, and I love them overall!

These work well to get the liquid out of the butter. Just not that easy to clean since they are wood and porous

it all depends on how you view what you get. i PREFER this unfinished raw wood. If you wanted it finished with a deep oil seal, it's not this item. The 100% life time fix for this product (and all unfinished wood products because that is how you should get your wooden products! you do NOT want some toxic finish on them at all. What you want is a well made product - unfinished!) DO NOT USE MINERAL OIL!! that just washes off. FOR ALL YOUR wood products (cutting boards, knives with wooden handles, wooden spoons, these paddles, etc) - USE TUNG OIL! (but this comes with a warning! so listen up! TUNG OIL for things you will use with food - you have to get PURE TUNG OIL! that is FOOD SAFE!! Tung oil is used for lots of wood products and most of them have dangerous chemicals added to help cure it! YOU DO NOT WANT THAT! You WANT something like "Hope's Tung Oil" which is 100% safe! don't waste your time trying to find anything to help it cure - you will only find toxic nonsense. just use it pure! Time is all you need! What Tung oil does (and why you should NEVER use the worthless mineral oil) is molecularly BOND to the wood. It CREATES a resin! that means it will NOT WASH off like the mineral oil or all those other over priced oils. IT bonds to the wood and creates a deep layer of resin that will NOT fail for many years. I give my cutting boards a light wash and eventually, the wood is raw again. that won't happen with TUNG OIL! SAFETY! Tung oil is toxic UNTIL it is fully cured! Once it is fully cured - it's 100% safe and there are ZERO health concerns. The tick here is you have to LET it cure for 30 days. After that, it's a layer of resin protection for years to come! I do this with ALL WOODEN items i guy. LIKE these butter paddles! Here is the process to make these paddles last a few generations. they come raw. I would NOT use them like that at all. HERE is how you give it a layer or resin (that's real wood bonding and not surface mineral oil that washes off in not time at all). 1) wash the paddles with light soapy water and rinse well. LET DRY two full days in warm area. 2) when you wash this type of wood, a grain will rise. that's the bit you want to remove! so use white grain sponge or fine steel wool to sand that completely smooth (takes no time at all). 3) apply Tung oil generously and wipe off the excess. LET stand for 24 hours. 4) steel wool or white sponge (this is a grade of grit. if you buy a white sponge, it has a grit like find sand paper) until smooth. 5) add second coat of Tung oil (food safe only! like Hope's! do not add any solvents!) and smooth it all out. 6) (the IMPORTANT SAFE PART!!) LET IT CURE for 30 days! You now have VERY high end beautiful butter paddles that will last a life time! you can wash them and let them dry (no dishwasher), they will last for many many years. Hope's (and other brands of 100% food safe Tung oil) is sold here on Amazon. Do this for all your cutting boards, wooden spoons, butter paddles, whatever! You want to buy the raw wood and cure it!

Husband loves these little paddles! He uses them to shape his butter. Easy and fun to use and they are nicely sized.

I didn't recognize the delivery service so that was a bit confusing. The parcel was delivered on time. The packaging was pierced and in rough shape; however, the gnocchi paddles were in good condition. I haven't used them yet, but they look durable and useful.

Compré estas palas para hacer gnocci. Al principio me costaba hacerlos porque la masa se me quedaba pegada a la madera, pero aprendí el truco de que antes de cada pasada debes enharinar bien todos los surcos (y las manos) y entonces tendrás los gnocci perfectos. ¡Y qué decir de ese diseño vintage!

Love these paddles! Never knew how simple it was to make your own butter but now would not buy supermarket butter.
