It works, but with some issues
This unit runs quietly. The fan runs on low all the time, but it can hardly be heard on standby. It does accelerate with a higher load. I've tested the unit with inductive loads and it works very well. I've also tested it with a 900W microwave, a test that requires very clean power. It works fine, but the microwave has a higher buzzing noise than if operated on the grid (which is indicative of an imperfect sine wave). I then added a large fan running at about 60W and the unit started making some crackling noises, yet both the fan and the microwave ran fine, without any deviation in speed, etc. This unit is nice, but it's not a 1600W unit! It will handle loads of under 1000W just fine, but it struggles with loads above that.

Great Voltage Converter
I travel internationally very often for work. I needed a converter that could handle more than just a cellphone or iPad. When you travel as much as I do, you sometimes just want to stay in your hotel room and not go find a restaurant. As the description says, you can use a rice cooker or hot plate (along with many other things) and not have to worry about blowing a fuse or messing something up. The included converter plugs mean it will work anywhere, and the dual inputs are great. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is really my fault - the weight make it heavy in luggage, and I didn't pay enough attention to the description. By giving it 4 stars maybe that will get people's notice so they don't make the same mistake. However, it's not so heavy that you can't easily pack it. And of course, it needs to be heavy to be able to safely convert voltage. If you need a CONVERTER and not an ADAPTER, this one is top-notch.

Solid
This power converter is an absolute must-have for international travel! It worked flawlessly with a variety of smaller devices, and the build quality is solid—comparable to a well-made power strip. The heavy-duty cord adds to its reliability, and it even comes with basic international travel adapters, which are a great bonus. The 1600W power capacity is impressive and easily handles high-wattage appliances like a rice cooker or hair dryer. I tested it with multiple devices, and everything worked smoothly without any issues. While the unit is a bit bulky, it’s far more convenient than carrying multiple adapters, especially for long trips to 220V countries. What I love most is its versatility and thoughtful design. It’s compact enough to pack and comes with four types of adapters, making it usable anywhere in the world. For the price, this converter offers tremendous value and saves me the hassle of buying separate adapters for each device. Whether for short trips or extended stays, this is an essential travel accessory for anyone needing a reliable, high-capacity power solution. Highly recommend!

Good for your 1600 watt hairdryer
This has possibly all the plug adapters you would need to travel overseas. It is rated up to 1600 watts so, it will power your 1600 watt or less hairdryer or curling iron. It is not just an adapter. It will step down the overseas voltage which is usually 220 volts down to 110 volts which is what we use here in the US. It's a nice size. Not to large. Should fit in your luggage or carry on with ease. The only thing missing are some USB ports.

A must-have when traveling abroad
We plan to use this when traveling to the Philippines but in the meantime I set up a little testing station in my home by using a NEMA 6-20P Plug Adapter in a 220v socket that was previously used for a large window AC unit. We tested a few small things and it seemed to work fine without issues. The build quality is on par with a typical, well-made power strip which is what this looks and feels like. The cord is heavy duty as you'd expect and it comes with you basic international travel adapters. This will come in handy and it's at a terrific price and not as heavy as your traditional transformers.

Not certain if it is indeed a pure sine wave converter
This product is advertised on the seller's web page as a pure sine wave converter. Is it a converter with pure sine wave capabilities? I'm not convinced it is. The unit does not indicate pure sine wave anywhere on it. Certainly not on the top of the unit as shown in the web page graphic. Furthermore, the included printed information for this converter also does not indicate anywhere that this is pure sine wave capable. So if you are buying a pure sine wave converter for close to $100 you should trust that the product includes printed information to back up this claim on both the unit and the included printed information. I don't have any way to test this converter without an oscilloscope which I do not have access to. Pure sine wave inverters prevent issues like overheating, noise, and erratic operation in devices with motors or certain electronics, such as microwaves, laser printers, and variable-speed tools. Devices like refrigerators and power tools often run more efficiently and last longer with pure sine wave power. So should I really trust that this converter will not damage my sensitive electronics and motors if the product itself does not indicate pure sine wave capability?
