Bugs stand ZERO chance against this spray - excellent! It's the only spray you'll ever need!
Ordered this because...we live in FL. That's probably all the explanation needed LOL but in case you aren't familiar...it is insect central. No matter how clean your home is or how often you do pest control, you will end up with some kind of crawling friend in your house sooner or later. That said, we have two live in pest control professionals who live here aka our two cats. But even with that, you still get a bug or two who will evade their excellent detection skills (meaning they were probably taking a nap or begging for treats when they sneak in). This spray takes care of that with no issues. Here is what we really like about this spray: 1. It is not the typical scent of bug spray. Most smell...terrible. This one smells surprisingly pleasant - it's a cinnamon aroma that smells much like a candle. What a nice departure from the norm! 2. It is extremely, extremely effective. A lot of sprays claim they kill on contact...but most fall a little short. This one doesn't. One spray kills most anything...on bigger bugs like palmetto bugs...two sprays will do it. That's it! Pretty impressive! 3. It is completely pet and child safe, which is wonderful. We have no kids in the house but two cats and a dog. So this is important to us and one of the main reasons we chose this spray. 4. Also unlike most sprays, this foams once it is sprays. This gives a lot better coverage to whatever pest you are trying to extinguish, and also creates a barrier for them that will not allow them to escape. Well, should they survive that first blast, that is. I've not had one do it yet, so that's fantastic! 5. We used it to spray the perimeter of our pet door that goes out to the outdoor living space/patio. The patio aka the CATio is where the kitties hang out the most and that door is usually how ants or spiders will come in. Since I sprayed this, I have yet to see anything come through there except the cats. Excellent! 6. I love that it's made from plant based ingredients. Very innovative for a pest product and definitely very effective, too! This spray is a little more expensive than the norm but it also works much better than the norm, so being a big believer in "you get what you pay for", I believe this to be worth it. I highly, highly recommend it to anyone but especially if you have pets!

Not slow... but not instant. A sweet smelling bug killer.
This is not an instant kill product despite the product description claim. It does work, I will testify to that but the results are not immediate. We had an ant colony that took up residence under our back door frame over the winter and when we finally emerged outside when the weather warmed up we found two long trails of ants running along the foundation of our home into a hole bored under the door. Coincidentally, this Green Guard spray showed up yesterday and I put it immediately into action. I sprayed at the point of entry and all along the ant trails and I did see immediate reaction from the legions of little critters but I didn’t see any of them succumbing to the spray right away. I had to keep extending the line of spray as the ants kept scrambling to get away. From a couple of lines that originally were about 3 feet long, the ants kept crawling until the line was about 8 feet long. After about 10 to 15 minutes the entire colony finally succumbed and was finished. I also went back to the entry point and added a few extra squirts down into the ant abyss. Hopefully that put an end to the empire of the ants. I typically lay down a line of insecticide home guard every year to protect our house but that defense can be weakened over a cold and wet winter so it’s nice to have a handy pest spray on hand when unwelcome creepy crawlers show up unexpected. The spray does have a very pleasant odor. We ordered the Cinnamon Might variety. It sort of smells as if someone opened a dozen packs of peppermint Life Savers at the same time. Some might complain that the aroma is overpowering but I like peppermint Life Savers so it is rather pleasant for me. So, to summarize, the spray works, it just doesn’t work right away. It was fine dealing with a fixed ant colony but I’m not certain about getting immediate satisfactory results if a roach or some other disgusting bug starts running across the patio or is approaching an entry point. Fingers crossed that I won’t ever have to try it on one of those but I wish I could be more certain that it would work instantly

Works well, smells awful
I recently moved to a new area, and it turns out that ants thrive here! In the ongoing war with the ants, I got this spray for more topical applications, in concert with outdoor solutions and ant motels. I've found it's most effective when you use this in choke point areas like in door jambs. It kills ants on contact and lingers long enough to continue controlling the pest problem for several days. Usually by that point, the ants have gotten the point and stop attempting that route. That being said this stuff has a smell to it that just hits me wrong. It's not necessarily unpleasant, but prolonged exposure gives me a bit of a headache, so use it strategically and sparingly.

Love the pet safe quality
I am one of those weird people who have trouble killing anything, including bugs. I do lots of capture/release. However, there are times when this just isn’t practical. One of those involves ants, specifically odiferous house ants. If you don’t stop them as soon as you see even one make its presence known, before you know it, you’re inundated by the little suckers. So, soon as one appears, I watch it until I know where it’s coming in, this time. Then, what I ended up resorting to using is Combat. I hate it…very toxic, but man, does it work well. So, always have some on hand for when the little guys show up. Now I have this spray. I am overjoyed that it’s non toxic to pets. I sprayed some outside, and was pleasantly surprised that the cinnamon scent isn’t overpowering (and boy do most pest sprays smell horrible). So far, I haven’t had any ants trying to set up residence this spring, but when they do, as they surely will at some time, I will use this spray. I am heartened by all the reviews about the effectiveness of this spray (hello, Mr Florida!), so I expect it will work just fine. If it doesn’t, I will be back with an update to my review.
