Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smart Guard Performance Endurance Wired Tyre

Je roule avec ces pneus depuis plus de six ans presque quotidiennement (vélotaf 20 km/jour) sans aucun problème. Excellente adhérence, aucune crevaison, bonne durabilité. Cependant, j'ai commandé sur Amazon deux nouveaux pneus Schwalbe qui n'ont duré que 6 mois. En vérifiant mes pneus, j'ai constaté que des fissures profondes apparaissaient sur les côtés et par mesure de sécurité, je dois les changer. Je connais bien cette marque (c'est la raison pour laquelle je conserve les 5 étoiles) mais je me pose deux questions : les pneus livrés sont-ils des contrefaçons ? (ce qui ne semble pas le cas au vu de l'étiquette et du marquage sur le pneu) ou bien ont-ils été mal stockés ? Les pneus étaient pourtant livrés et expédiés par Amazon, ce qui me laisse perplexe. Y-a-t-il une garantie sur ce type de défaillance ?

C'est le troisième vélo avec lesquels j'ai toujours utilisé ces pneus. Jamais eu de crevaisons, environ 30,000 km de parcouru jusqu'à présent avec les trois vélo. Efficace pavé et gravel. Un peu plus de friction qu'un pneus lisse. Plus cher mais dure plus longtemps. Plus confortable et très visible le soir !

Comme à son habitude, Schwalbe nous propose là un produit réussi. Après 1 000 km au guidon de mon vtc chaussé de ces pneus, aucune crevaison à signaler. Et pourtant, je roule sur des routes très sales (proche déchetterie) avec bouts de verre pilé, vis, boulons, cailloux pointus, etc. Difficile de trouver meilleure mise en condition. Remplacez vos pneus par des marathon plus, vous ne serez pas déçus.

I've been riding on these tires since May and I have yet to have a problem with flats. These 38mm are a perfect medium for urban roads, hard packed dirt, and gravel. Anything heavier than light gravel and they start washing out and slipping in steep climbs. If you encounter more dirt than pavement you should look elsewhere for more mountain-ready tires. However, I use these tires primarily for city riding and light dirt trails and these tires are amazing. I have literally rolled over broken bottles in the street and explosively shatter them with the impact and there aren't even any bits of glass embedded in the tires. I've taken these tires on day-long rides through San Francisco and Oakland and it's a nice peace of mind to confidently roll through glass and not have to swerve into the car lane to preserve tires. To underline the toughness of the tire, the seam where the two sides of the tires are mated together that runs on the center of the tire has yet to wear down. A little strip of rubber that generally wears off in the first few weeks of riding is still proudly present on these tires. The downside is that these tires are heavy and stiff, if you're concerned about that sort of thing. But I doubt you're a weight weenie and more of a person looking for a reliable tire that will last and looking for peace of mind when riding in dicey pavement conditions on your way to work. These are a steal at twice the price. Think about it, how often are you digging glass out of your tires and changing tubes when you're en route and in a time crunch? Get these tires.
