They stick away from the wall more than I thought they would, but they are very nice and elegant looking.

Update After using this towel holder for a few weeks, I have noticed the color of this does not match the rest of the brushed nickel items in the bathroom. It has a very, very silvery color. I took a picture with it next to faucet so you can see. Yes they say "brushed nickel silver" in the description but I still think this is misleading. They should just say silver or chrome color only. Original Review Very impressed with this towel ring. I especially like how screws are hidden behind the plate. My towel holder was not near a stud so I really had to be creative with larger anchors supporting it. The design of this holder allowed me to use much longer, more aggressive screws behind the scenes. Aside from this, this towel holder checked all the boxes. It looks great and the brushed nickel matches all the other brushed nickel fixtures in the room.

It matches any color easy installation.

I like the towel ring and it should serve it's purpose but the quality of manufacturing is pretty poor. The finish looks nice but certainly doesn't match any typical chrome finishes. Also, the ring is a little oblong and doesn't sit in its holder straight. Lastly, the wall mount has three holes very close to each other. If you were to use all three, there's a good chance that they'd end up as one big hole in the wall. So I'd recommend using only the outer two. Overall, it'll serve it's purpose and looks fine to the naked eye.
