purchased for a Childs camping trip, batteries lasted all week so not heavy on consumption. comes with 2 head torches in the pack which makes it really good value. Light is good for complete darkness but not car headlamp type, its a decent spread for walking and lights up nicely 4-5 meters in front. Excellent though for using around the house, plumbing, electric works etc in dark ares/cupboards etc. I would recommend it for keeping in the car too with winter approaching .

Really pleased with these head torches. I bought them for running as it’s getting into winter and they are super bright. Ran down country lane with no street lights for miles and was able to see path no problem as I was worried I’d trip over something. Just needed to get used to running with it on your head, personally I’d wear them over a hat or headband as it’s more comfy but worn them without and it’s ok tooUsed them also in park to take dog out for walk at night, much easier to see poop.Great price for 2, plan to use reusable batteries going forward. Not used them in rain but I think they’d be ok in drizzle as the clasp clicks over batteries quite tightly but don’t think they’d be watertight in a downpour

Good light output for its size and weight with a beautifully even spread of light especially useful for close up work. Light output is more flood than spot, so doesn’t light up that far ahead. Lights an area a good six metres square in front of you good enough to see what’s there. Waterproofing around the battery compartment not that great so probably not the best to use in heavy rain. Switch feels robust enough and is easy to operate, half power mode useful to extend life of batteries. Comfortable to wear and considering you get a set of batteries too great value for money.

I have missed out on reading at bedtime for a considerable time because of a night light disturbing my seriously ill wife. I am now able to take up a book etc without disturbing her which helps me relax after a trying day. An added bonus is the price, just cannot go wrong for that money (For two) and a dimmer facility as an extra bonus.Excellent buy.M.H..

I purchased a two pack of the head lamps and they are excellent. The light is stunningly bright (do not stare at it!) and the range and spread is perfect. There is also a lower light level and a flash option. Parking in a fully dark area and walking to an apartment block across a similarly dark 60ft X 60ft open area was lit up completely. I am purchasing more for each of our cars and for use around the house and garden. The elastic strap is very good and can be used directly on your head and will stretch to use on a helmet/hat etc. We have used them regularly (4-5 times a week) but for limited time each use (5 minutes) over a period of 3 months and the batteries (included) have not yet been replaced which is great.

These look brilliant I think I will use them on the duller setting as that seems bright enough for reading. If I was to use them while cycling I would not want to blind drivers driving towards me but it's good there is a choice including flashing which I think is too bright as well.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this light is good for pitch blackness but you won't see much of a benefit if there's other light about. It also eats batteries for breakfast. I bought these for work, and while they're ok in the darkest of places, they don't do well at twilight as they don't stand out enough. The headband is adjustable, but it easily falls off my hard hat or head when worn there.Personally, I wouldn't recommend them.

Great value for money.They're easy to adjust, both for fit and the angle of the light. The band is comfortable on my head, and does not slip.The high setting is nice and bright, and that they come with batteries ready to fit adds towards their value for money.Editing to add: during a week when I had no power, this got used for about an hour every night (for about nine days on the lower setting). While there is still a very dim light I can use, the drain on the batteries was much less than I'd expected. Certainly much more efficient than my last headtorch.
