Q: I already have this pattern I just need to extend it out or add to it. But the color online looks a bit darker. Does it just look darker online?

I would not try it. I ordered 7 packs. Three were light and 4 were dark in the same order. I mean a lot of difference.

Q: are these water proof? I want to use them as the backdrop behind a clawfoot tub that has wooden walls in an old house?

I think they are water proof due to they are similar to plastic flooring,but I think the wooden walls still can be damped by the water vapor.

Q: How many sq.feet does one box cover?

lol, 20 tiles - 12" square (that's 1 square foot). so 20 tiles would be 20 square feet. examples : a room 10'x10' is 100 sq feet . 20 square feet will cover an area 4x5 feet.4 times 5 ='s 20.
