NOW Supplements, L-Lysine (L-Lysine Hydrochloride) 500 mg, Amino Acid, 250 Tablets

Lysine helps my mouth, generally. I take extra when I have chapped lips or if I have a cut in my mouth...it really seems like things heal a little faster when I take this supplement. I've been taking this supplement for many years and have noticed no side effects at all. I had previously used this same brand of Lysine in 1000mg format, but the individual pills were just too big for me. I love the 500mg size, they are much easier to swallow and work just as well.

This supplement truly works to prevent cold sores. If you already have a cold sore, take this to heal faster! I've also heard it's good for shingles.

I started this after a tip that says it helps with cold sores. Take one pill a day and the frequency of sores has dropped tremendously. Have one flare up and double the dose, and it seems to heal much faster. If that fails, I bought silver nitrate sticks and those solve the problem in seconds.

Much mote manageable size to swallow. Others i only required one daily. Odd that these are 3 daily

L-Lysine works far superior than the prescription meds for shingles. At the onset, take a few, and within a few days it is gone! The pills are large, but they are not too difficult to swallow. Halfing them may be more advantageous for some individuals.

Since taking this, I grow stronger longer nails. Not so sure it does anything for my hair. I take it to help my muscles with my strength training as well.

Overall like these and will continue with these, great quality supplements
