Our kids saw one of these at the beach a few years ago and were fascinated by it, so I finally remembered to buy one before our most recent beach trip. All three of our kids (ages 5, 8, and 11) took turns playing with it throughout the day. It kept them entertained on and off between swimming and other beach activities. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to throwing it just right so that it rides the waves and comes back to you. Once you figure out the angle and timing, though, it really does surf back toward you, which is pretty cool to watch. **What we liked:** * Fun and active beach activity * Works well for a range of ages * Unique toy that keeps kids engaged * Very satisfying once you learn the throw technique **Overall:** A really fun beach toy that gets kids moving and experimenting with how to throw it. Once you get the hang of it, watching it surf back toward you never gets old. Great addition to beach days.

This is one of my daughter’s favorite toys for the ocean. Throw it in the water and it rides the waves back to you. We purchased the 1st one a couple years and just got another for her friend.

Best beach toy ever!! No matter how u throw him. He's coming back. Its like the boomerang of the ocean. We saw a kid with one a few summers ago and had to get one. Ingenious design! A tone of fun for thw family.

Saw young kids on the beach having a BLAST with this toy on the edge of the water and had to get one for my grandson. Can’t wait to see him play with it.

This thing is awesome. It’s a 5 star product. Only reason I docked it was because you need fairly big waves (for a kid) to actually work. For example, worked flawlessly in Hawaii. Not so much in the calm gulf off the coast of Florida.

Grandson lost one of these and was sad about it. Grandma to the rescue. He was so excited to get another as he lives playing at the beach with this toy. He’s 5

This was by far our favorite toy and absolutely lived up to the Toy of the Year hype. It is simple, affordable, and endlessly fun. You just throw it out into the waves and it surfs right back in again and again. Our kids played for hours and never got tired of it. It is lightweight, packs easily, and held up great even after tons of beach use. It also turned heads everywhere we went. Several parents saw us playing with it and immediately asked where to get one. A couple of them ordered on the spot. If you have kids and a beach trip planned, this toy is a no brainer.
