My living room is poorly lit, so I bought this to act as an additional light source next to the armchair. Assembly was easy; it only took a minute or two from opening the box to plugging it in. The way the lampshade goes together is highly unusual; it comes flat, and the two ends meet with Velcro. It's unexpected but not bad; the shade can't get crushed in shipping due to this design. I love the look of the lamp and I will be purchasing the matching table lamps in the future. It's unique, has a great wooden look, and is sturdy. Some people mentioned that the seams where you assemble the pieces are visible. This is accurate, but they're not that noticeable and don't bother me. Since it doesn't come in one piece, these seams are inevitable, and you can see where they are in the product photos. Another thing is that the lampshade hangs slightly crooked. Again, it will be a matter of personal preference whether it bothers you or not. This was perfect for me because I use it partially as a reading lamp, so the angle was a bonus, but I could see how this would annoy others. Overall, this is a great lamp. As someone with a more rustic taste who hates the generic "modern" lamp styles found in stores, it is exactly what I was looking for. Some of the characteristics others did not like are my favorite things about the lamp. So, consider your personal tastes and look at the photos before you buy it. If you do that, there will be no surprises, and you will be happy with it. Edit: After owning it for a few months, the lampshade has straightened itself and no longer hangs crooked. Don't understand why, but there you go.

I LOVED this lamp so much. I even bought a second one after getting the first. it truly looks like wood. I think it is lol, but it is amazing having the top part on or the bottom part that we use as a nightlight and it just has all of these shades. It looks beautiful. I love it and I especially love having two.! Hope this helps

Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Has remote. No batteries supplied. Also has short floor foot switch. No hand switch.

After reading some of the reviews where people had gotten broken parts I was a bit hesitant. Thankfully though, mine arrived unbroken. Assembly was easy and it went together pretty fast..it’s self explanatory. It’s got a little weight to it and best of all it looks good. I used a 60w LED bulb and it’s plenty bright, serving as an alternate light source in my living room. While it could be a little taller, it’s not too short. The included foot switch is a nice touch. If I had one complaint it would be the shade. It works, it just doesn’t look the best but from across the room it’s pretty hard to tell.

Good quality and great for my one room. Brightness is nice. Easy to put together, had it complete in less than five minutes. It also has a on and off switch that you hit with your foot. Good value for the money.

Almost a year with it and I love it, It goes very well in my baby’s room.

It looks easy enough to put together, screw in each section to the one before… however, 2 of the 5 screws don’t tighten, leaving the entire lamp leaning to one side. Plus the lamp shade circle is build crooked so the whole lamp looks like it leans. I’ll need to purchase plumbers tape and physically bend the shade so it works. Not happy. Glad I waited to purchase the other 2 lamps I need.
