8 months after repairing a flooded bathroom I'm finally done. This work well. I had to hire a plumber to move the drain but it saved me from trying to lay concrete correctly which I may or may not have butchered.

This shower base is not simple to install. However, it's a well manufactured device.

Certainly a lot quicker than making a shower pan by hand which is best left to pros that do it often. If you are installing this pan on a slab you had better be a pro or hire one because you get only one shot. Meaning, you have to make certain your drain is lined up exactly, apply a think bed of mortar to the floor, apply glue to the drain and set the pan (in about 15 seconds) and it has to be almost an exact alignment (for the drain). If you screw this step up, you're going to be very disappointed with the price you paid for this pan. This may sound easy, so if you're a person that thinks it sounds easy then give it a shot and cry when you screw it up. If you have drain access from underneath your floor, then it should be quite easy to install and Johnny Homeowner, who sits at a computer all day and thinks he's a home remodeler on the weekends could probably give it a go. Several of the reviews mention that the pan is flimsy which is somewhat true but when the pan is set in a thick bed of mortar per the instructions it is very solid and can be walked on etc. to install your tile backer material of choice etc.

This item is amazing. Can't wait until my tile man gets it installed. Great product!
