I looked everywhere for a battery for my GameCube that had the tabs already on it. I almost gave up hope but I found this kit!! It saved me $20 bucks and some time looking for the proper screwdriver. Thanks!! Everything works great and it was packaged well. The screw driver bit opens both the GameCube and my Pokemon gold cart!

Nice little kit. Even comes in a handy plastic case. I used this to replace the batteries in 30 year old SNES cartridges that I found in my mom’s attic. These replacements worked perfectly. Don’t get the regular cell batteries without tabs because they won’t secure in properly and you won’t get the correct positive/negative alignment. Definitely will be using this again in future when I get my hands on more retro games. My kit accidentally came with 1 extra battery (total of 6). Mistake? I’ll take it!

Replaced the battery on my copy of Zelda Ocarina of Time. The only issue I ran into is the negative side is the correct thickness but there is a little bit extra metal before you get to the skinny part and so I just bent the piece of metal to where only the skinny part could poke through. Just make sure you have the plus and minus correct and its a simple soldering job. For the price; the kit is more than worth it!

Other than a soldering iron to solder in the batteries, this contained all that I needed to get into and work on NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis cartridges. The triwing screwdriver also helped me get into the old systems that seem to favor the triwing tip screws.

Each battery has two posts that puncture the baggie they are being held in. With the included screwdrivers they can bridge the posts and drain them.
