Soft and washable. It is only quilted on one side. I didn’t realize this but I may have just missed this in the product information. It works well for me. Good product for the price.

Quilting is very, very thin. It not at all puffy like the picture shows. Doesn't offer extra comfort. Nothing deluxe about zipper closure. Am returning this item.
