We’ve been using this for about a year and so far it has been very effective at repelling mosquitoes.

I have bought this many times and given it to gifts. Currently living in the southwest and traveling in other high tick and chigger environments,, Spritzing clothes, arms, and, spraying on hands and wiping on face and neck, keeps me insect free. The odor is pleasant, natural lemon eucalyptus oil (from Australia) does the job without being toxic to people. This is my go to whenever working in brush, woods or on grounds.

My family owns a cabin in the woods....with all sorts of mosquitos, flies, turkey mites, chiggers and MANY ticks! This product far out-performs any other bug repellent! Better than deep woods off, better than anything, and we've tried it all! By applying this, we have almost NEVER had a tick in 11 years of owning our cabin! Folks who won't put this spray on always end up with ticks at our cabin woods! The smell is a bit strong. You'll smell like lemons and eucalyptus! Your skin will tingle a little from the eucalyptus. We joke and call this our special cabin perfume! We love that it also has no Deet! You absolutely can't go wrong with this product! We don't head into the woods without it! Thanks REPEL!

So I live in San Antonio and the bugs here suck big time. I have two young children who love playing outside, but don't love getting bug bites. I didn't want to be saturating them in Deet every day before being allowed to play, so I got this as an alternative. It works GREAT at keeping the bugs away. Mosquitoes, ants, spiders, they all hate it. A+++ for effectiveness. HOWEVER, the scent is very very strong. Which is fine I guess, the trade off is no bugs so I can deal with that. But it also burns pretty badly if it gets in your eyes, nose, any small cuts or scrapes kids get all the time. I don't put it on their hands, but the other day my youngest must have licked her arm or something and started freaking out screaming and screaming. I tested it out...(yes I licked my own arm) and holy cow it burns your mouth and my tongue was tingling long after I rinsed my mouth 1028374729 times. Poor kid :( So disappointed, now I have to try finding something else that hopefully works as well as this stuff that doesn't have Deet but won't burn my kid's mouths when they decide to lick themselves.

In this day and age, it's so hard to know what works and what doesn't. It's hard to trust what's good for you, what's neutral and what is going to actively hurt you - whether it's today, or decades from now. I've used most of the common mosquito repellents with DEET, but when it was time to get something that we could use on our infants (now toddlers), we wanted to make sure we weren't using any chemicals that could possible harm them. We've been using Repel for over a year now, and I can definitively say that it works just as good as all the other repellents that use DEET. When I have the option to avoid the controversy around a potentially harmful chemical, like DEET, and I can get a product that works just as good, that's worth a little extra, especially when it's something that family and little kids are going to be using. This product really works, gives us peace of mind, and that is worth the price tag any day.
