Garlic Chopper Includes Silicone Garlic Peeler And Cleaning Brush By Royal Blade (Green)

I had a brand name Garlic Zoom and loved it! Used it at least 6 times a week and after a year, it was a bit (understandably) beat up. So I decided to purchase a new one, and this product floated to the top of my search result. Sadly, that marketing ploy worked on me and I purchased it instead of the original Garlic Zoom. Big. Mistake. This garlic chopper thing is only similar to the Garlic Zoom in look, not function! The top flap that you are supposed to put the garlic cloves in barely latches, so you have to constantly be thinking about how you hold the thing as you attempt to roll it. I say attempt, because the blades must be pretty dull, as the chopper does not roll smoothly at all! It also left a significant amount of rubber residue on my counter afterward, speaking to the fact that it would not last long even if it chopped the garlic well enough to merit keeping it (which it does not! I unceremoniously tossed mine in the trash right after making dinner last night).TL:DR Get the real Garlic Zoom, not this cheap knock off. It is worth the extra 4 dollars.

This cute little device is helpful and definitely beats using a knife to mince garlic. Listed are my pro’s and con’s.Pro’s:-easy to use-easy to assemble and take apart to clean only one removable part-easy to clean-small size makes it easy to store-brush has nice little scoop inside the handleCON’S:-rubber sleeve for peeling garlic has a strong odor of silicone-it takes about 100 times of rolling the mincer back and forth to get garlic to minced size-will not take large cloves. I had to cut a large clove into thirds-after cleaning everything still smells strong of garlic, except the peeling sleeve. I’m sure there is a way to Eliminate the odor.The brush makes it easy to get all the garlic out.Instead of using a sponge to clean parts, after rinsing I put the blades and housing in a bowl that has a seal and large enough for everything to move around, added warm water and soap and shook.I would recommend this to anyone that hates mincing garlic. I get more garlic than I do using a garlic press.

As noted by other reviewers, this is a knock-off garlic chopper, masquerading as the Chef'n Garlic Zoom. Unfortunately, this chopper is much smaller in size, and rife with manufacturing defects (lid wont close, wheeling mechanism is clunky and prone to jamming) -- in short, a genuine piece of garbage. DO NOT buy this product unless you are looking for a dangerous replica product that doesn't chop garlic. I implore Amazon to remove JUNK product listings.

This chopper is trash, I don't recommend purchasing this particular item as it does not work. The door flops open very easily, the chopping blades barely spin, the wheels slip on any surface other than ones had. Oh and I'm pretty sure it was used as it looked dirty, there was residue on the interior.1 star, don't do it!!!

Had to chop up the garlic to make it work. Larger pieces caused it to jam. Seems silly to have to chop up garlic to use a garlic chopper. Misses the whole point of using it. Even then it was hard to roll. Hard to clean . I’m glad they provided a brush or it would have been impossible to get out all the bits.

Small, but works well for 2-3 small garlic cloves. The brush included works very well for cleaning out the minced garlic. Fairly easy to clean.
