Concept Aircraft: Prototypes, X-Planes, and Experimental Aircraft (Aviation Factfile)

This was bought for my son who is into military history. He loved it!! Came quickly and in condition promised.

This is a 'X'-planes book, eXperimental planes in the military inventory. As with the other books I purchased, this too is excellent. Being an avid model builder (among other hobbies and interests), I rely heavily on books, magazines, the internet, for images for color schemes of the models. I have avast collection of books with information photographs of world aircraft. This book is one of them. An excellent addition to anyone who engages in that hobby.

A very well-illustrated, very informative coffee table book on a myriad of experimental and concept aircraft. Definitely well worth my money and waiting (as I ordered from a UK dealer). You'll love it! :-)

This book was indeed interesting to read, since it compiles some of the best concept aircraft ever imagined and built. However, it should've include more German World War 2 era concept aircraft in this book though.

It was not the book I wanted plus the pages were stuck together plus the pictures that I looked at were of a different book

The book just scratches the historical surface on a too-wide variety of experimental aircraft, leaving the reader wishing for more detail on fewer planes. Many of the illustrations are quite nice, and there is a fine sprinlking of fascinating factoids. The arrangement is alphabetical rather than chronological (why?), and the writing is marred by numerous typos and puzzling graphical performance comparisons. Still, it makes an interesting few evening's reading, and it looks great on the coffee table! It's just too cheap not to have one.

A great book for those wanting more info, or a reference source for building models from. detailed views, pictures and history.

Very interesting cross section of one offs, short potted histories of each aircraft. Possibly aimed at the younger reader, but still a good reference

this run of books are ok in general but the proof reader should be sacked as there are to many mistakes, which if you pay the full asking price,is not acceptable.
