Part broke within my first mow with it. After fixing it and using it for the next two weeks the plastic has already melted and it is ruined. Go get it from Briggs & Stratton's website itself, none of these cheap replacements will work in the long run.

Because the paws inside this item that turn the crankshaft are made of plastic they break easily. This is the third time I have had to replace this item and of course they are not getting any less expensive.

This recoil starter is a good buy. Before installing this I would go ahead and replace the rope, it is cheaply made and breaks after a few uses. Overall a good money saving buy.

The new assembly fit and worked fine.However, it has a substandard pull cord, today is the second time I 've used the mower after installing the new assembly and the pull cord broke while starting the mower.

Worked like a charm. My nineteen year old son installed it on the mower and it worked flawlessly.

Took less than 15 minutes to install. Fits the 30" toro timemaster perfectly!

Broke on 2nd pull

The recoil starter that came on the mower quickly wore out after a few months of use and made a horrible sound while the mower was running. Thankfully this starter fit perfectly and now the mower doesn't make that awful sound. It has lasted this mowing season, and hopefully will for several more.
