At what age can you use the carrier for both front and back?

Some people purchase the TwinGo for babies of different development stages or that are different sizes. Even among twins, they can be different sizes and/or stages. The front position can be used sooner than the back position. Here are the guidelines when deciding when to use the TwinGo and which child should be place in which seat:

FRONT CARRY: You can start using your TwinGo Carrier with the Infant Insert (sold separately) in the Front Carry Position as soon as your baby is 7lbs. Without the Infant Insert, you can start using a single carrier on the front once your baby can comfortably straddle the carrier from knee-to-knee, which is usually around 3 months (approx 10-12 lbs) for full-term babies.

BACK CARRY: A child must meet ALL three of the following criteria to be carried on your back: 
1) Development: Baby must have strong and consistent head/neck control when awake and asleep to maintain an open airway.
2) Size: Baby must be tall enough his head is outside the carrier and have long enough legs to comfortably straddle the panel of the carrier. 
3) Age: Baby must be over 4+ months corrected age in good health and meet above criteria.

What is the difference between the lite model and the regular one?

The TwinGo Lite is made of the same high-quality materials as the Original model but it is slightly lighter weight--as it sports a minimalistic pocketless design--and it is not sold with the extra set of shoulder straps--offering a cost savings. The Lite model "out of the box" is a tandem carrier for one adult to carry two children or it can be one single-child carrier that can be worn on the front or back. You can still convert the TwinGo Lite model into two single-child carriers if you purchase a second set of shoulder straps. You have the option to "build" your perfect second single-child carrier by choosing the style of shoulder straps based on personal preference (Backpack style or Mei Tai style).

Is the weight restriction 10lb combined weight, or 10lb individual?

Happy to clarify! The minimum weight is 10lbs for an individual baby. You can add the Infant Insert (sold separately) for babies as small as 7lbs.

Question 4

When worn as two separate carriers - can either be worn on the back?

Hi Sarah! Yes, when separated both carriers have the capability to be worn on the adult's back (or front). The extra set of shoulder straps for converting the second pouch into an independent carrier are sold separately with the TwinGo Lite model, but they are included with the TwinGo Original model.
