DO NOT PURCHASE FOR CHILDREN
I brought this for my granddaughter so she could do crafts in her own space with me. It is a piece of crap. The round connectors don't even stay in their spot. As I was building the desk, they kept falling out, which made me worry. Sure enough, a week after the desk was assembled (and you better build it where you want it) it came crashing down when my 20LBS dog bumped into it.. Also, why on earth would someone design a desk that what looks like a solid stable side is extremely is in three piece that is barely held together? The side with the chalkboard has a small piece on bottom that is only on there with pegs. This is suppose to be for CHILDREN!!!!

Don’t waste your money or time on this one!
Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Sauder furniture, I have purchased a headboard, 4 nightstands, and 3 dressers from this brand, and have assembled them all myself with no issues. That’s why when I needed to get an art desk for my daughter’s birthday I trusted the Sauder brand and ordered this kids activity desk. Unfortunately, the quality is NOT up to par with their adult furniture lines. This desk is made of cheap particle board, way cheaper than the big box swedish brand we all know and love. Assembly went well at first, but when it came to adding the top desk part, none of the pre-drilled holes lined up. You can see in my photos that the screws would undershoot the connection every single time. The more attempts I made, the more the particle board would chip away. I tried drilling new holes that would align, but that didn’t do anything but create a mess (you can see in one pic where the pen is showing how the pre-drilled holes are lower than where they needed to be to make the connection.) The table top was not level, and after all these attempts, I gave up and packaged it back up for a return. I am so disappointed in this product, the quality is so poor, and clearly the holes are not aligned. I consider myself to be very handy, having assembled furniture and desks, etc for the past 20+ years, but this one is a total dud. Maybe it was just the one I got, but I wouldn’t chance it - quality is really low.

Very sturdy
This activity center is perfect for 2 girls who have to have the same things. It's 2 sided and perfect for them! No more fights about space or craft items. This thing weighs a metric ton (figuratively). It's not hard to put together, but definitely needs 2 people. One corner was damaged, but that's not from the packing material. I've never seen an item packed so we'll. The damage was from my husband not being able to move it without dropping it. This was minimal and didn't impact the stability of the desk so we powered thru.***Recommendation***Please measure hallways and door openings prior to assembly. This didn't fit thru the hallway, so we had to take the 2 main parts apart and then re-asymble at its final location.

Great craft table for toddlers
I have a 3 and 5 year old and this will serve them well for a few years (they are smaller). My 5' wife can sit on the chairs without concerns. There was one minor mfr defect but its not even visible after assembly and not that big of a deal. Some reviewers stated that this thing tips over, not sure how that is possible for a child, its heavy and solid. I would have to work to intentionally tip it. My kids are using it often with no supervision. The top is easy to clean from paint and crayons, chalk board is functional. Nice little storage shelves. Worked out perfect.

Fairly easy to put together
The pros:It looks niceIt is fairly heavy and well madeIt seems like it will be pretty durablePieces fit pretty well together. The cons:A few easily fixed issues with the product. One of the pieces was not marked so it took a little longer to identify it. Had to re-drill a few of the holes.Suggestion: Have someone help you with this project....4 hands are better than two.

Great little art center
Exactly what I was expecting, it is a great size art center for my two boys ages 5 and 3, who can both sit at it and work, I expect we will get several good years out of it. Assembly was somewhat lengthy but the instructions were easy to follow.

Assembly with 2 people
Putting this together was easy but a pain because of how long it took for 1 person. I assembled it alone. Only two parts was annoying to get done without another person, so my legs and the walk had to be my number 2. Definitely recommend assembling with another person but the quality is great.

Easy assembly, easy clean great addition
Beyond easy to assemble. Had it built in a half hour. (Even with the “help” from my little ones) it cleans perfectly with washable paints and water. So far no bubbling or peeling (have had it for about 2 months) and we craft/paint daily. If you’re worried about items coming damages it’s kind of the luck of the draw like anything you purchase especially on amazon. Luckily mine were unscathed 😉
