MS. MARVEL VOL. 9: TEENAGE WASTELAND

Ms. Marvel picks up after the last few volumes have seen Kamala Khan doubting her place in the world and her role as a superhero. Between drama with her home life, a feeling of being lost in the broader world, and her fallout from siding against her hero Carol Danvers in the Civil War II event, Kamala has taken personal time away from the superhero game and gone missing (at least missing from her friends). While they wonder what happened to Kamala, the gang steps up to fill in for their homegrown superhero and try to carry the mantle of Ms. Marvel. It'll take the return of one of Ms. Marvel's first enemies, the Inventor, to drag Kamala back into the superhero world. Also, Red Knife has traveled to the US to help pitch in while Kamala takes personal time. When Bruno returns from Wakanda Kamala is trapped in a love triangle she never expected. G. Wilson's story remains one of the bright spots of modern Marvel's publishing lineup. Coupled with the adorable artwork from Nico Leon and it is an excellent, fun for all ages read.

So, I've got all 9 TP editions. It's interesting to watch/listen to a teenage muslim girl trying to figure out life and superhero-ism. Funny and fun. I think Ms Marvel and similar works are the best thing we can have to bring people together.

Oh how I love this comic book series! It's perfect for any teen ager or anybody that has experienced adolescence and daydreams about having super powers!

By the ninth volume you should already know it’s great.

I love the art in this series. The style is great, and the stories make Kamala and friends relatable as teenagers. My daughter LOVES Ms. Marvel, and can't wait for each new collection to come out.

Kamala Khan is a great character and a great Marvel character. She really fits in the mold of the greats while still being her own thing.

Loved this till book 8 when the story started drifting and seemingly the writing was all over the place . I was hoping this was going to be this generation's " The Amazing Spiderman" from the '60s but it seems to have run out of impetus all ready . As a previous reviewer noted the art is like reading scooby doo and not the quality we've come to get on previous issues . I do hope it picks up , but for now i'm going to see form a distance how this goes and not buy anymore till I can see it has.A real shame , sorry folks .

Top graphic novel. G Willow Wilson is an exeptional writer. Where is Ms. Marvel? This proves to be a splendid story. What is hapening to Bruno? All is revealed in this volume. The artwork is of a top quality and is a treat to behold. Storylines are original and well crafted.

This one shows us how important it is not to turn your back on the world when things get ugly. It also makes us giggle, of course!
