Fluke bag meets my needs as a service tech.
There are many combination tool backpacks with laptop pockets. I read a lot of reviews and from what I can gather, I would guess that this may not be the most durable bag. However there are plenty of others out their that meet the needed durability for use by trades people with heavier tools that get used everyday.I am a service tech and I do not have the heavy use requirement but needed a bag that will carry the test equipment that I use daily. This is where this bag is a winner and I am sure it was intended for. Also, our customers expect quality test equipment and showing up with a Fluke branded bag sends a better image in my personal opinion.Since I intended in carry a laptop, my existing 14 inch laptop just does not fit. That is obviously one of the biggest complaints and perhaps well deserved. FLUKE, if you come out with a newer version, perhaps make that pocket a bit larger and I am sure you will get more interest.Since I was all in on this bag, I decided to purchase a smaller laptop which was a little bigger challenge. I felt a 11 inch width laptop would provide ease of removal/insertion. Fortunately, I found the HP Pavilion which is a sleek 11 inch width laptop and very suitable for my needs with a 2-1 laptop/tablet function, decent Intel processor, memory and sizable Solid State Drive. I also purchased the laptop from Amazon and was impressed with the over-night delivery. If you are a field technician using meters and small hand tools for light maintenance and service, this is a great tool-bag and the laptop will fit your needs.Laptop purchased: HP - Pavilion x360 2-in-1 11.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Pentium Silver - 4GB Memory - 128 SSD - Natural Silver

The best Back pack to protect your electronics
A very intuitive placement of key pockets and a great layout. Lots of compartments for specialty tools and hand tools alike. One quick glance at your tools and you can tell if you left one somewhere, or, perhaps a coworker borrowed something.Previous reviewers claim the bag tips over if opened fully. That is true, but can be remedied quite simply, by not opening the pack all the way. I am able to reach most tools without fully opening the case, and the bag remains upright. While you may be tempted, as I was, to put all of your tools into the bag, it can get pretty heavy if you overfill it.Since it is a backpack, you are left with both arms free to carry an extra tool bag, with the heavier tools, if necessary. This backpack seems very well made. It stands up and has a heavy-duty cable strap so it can be carried like a regular tool bag

Fluke backpack is awesome
I have had several tool packs over the 21 years I've been in the HVAC trade. This pack is much better than the others. The pockets, the depth, and the base. The handle and straps are rugged and the comfort padding is nice. I routinely work 17 hour days and this backpack is a life saver. The only negative I have about the pack is the computer slot. This needs to be made bigger, as a HVAC and DDC technician I need access to my laptop frequently, I had to go down to a 14" device to get it in the pack. This required me removing the stitching from the sides of the velcro compartment to allow it to slide in.The small slit in the side is barely big enough for an ipad. For the price I can't find a better pack.

Nice for a time, not long lasting
Used this bag as an electrician for about 50 lbs of tools. Works great, organization is easy enough to keep most needed tools close. Have had it for a little over a year now and the main zipper just started skipping teeth and not lining up. Was fine until I started traveling frequently, checking the bag on airplanes has led to the plastic and threading around the seem holding the plastic bottom on to start breaking apart. Would probably stand up to a couple of years of use otherwise. For the price I would hope it was a little tougher but not bad overall.

Fluke live up to their reputation
HelloAllot of tool bags out there, cheaper, bigger. Tool bags have one purpose, to keep organized and easily accessible. To be able to toss it on your shoulder and takin to work.I had several backpacks. Big ones with many many pockets. I have always had to look for tools. To much pocket not the solution. The way the Fluke backpack designed is unique, I can grab any tool in seconds. EveryTools from test leads to multimeter, to wire strippers, all at your reach just by opening the zipper. This is the best designed tool bag I ever owned. The quality is nice, but not heavy duty enough. I do agree with some previous comments. This bag is a medium duty not heavy. If you will carry it everywhereEvery day, the time of durability will be shortHow ever, I will take my chances. I’m an electrician and this is my first tool bag I actually love. Make my life much easier.

The perfect backpack for somebody who just wants to LOOK like they work for a living...
I did a lot of research before settling on this backpack but I have to say that I'm sorely disappointed. This thing didn't even last 6 months and one trip under an airplane before the plastic "bucket" on the bottom broke right at the seam where the rear flap is stitched on. I work hard and expect my gear to work as hard as I do and this thing is just not built for people like me. I went back to the Husky tool bag that cost 1/4 of what this did and lasted for 7 years that I originally wanted to replace with this fluke bag...the Husky is still holding up.For what you pay for this bag there's nothing else you can call it but a straight rip-off. I guess maybe if you need to bring loads of laundry back and forth from your washer and dryer to the bedroom it would last for a little while, anything more heavy-duty and this bag is not long for this world.Bottom line, if you need a rugged, dependable backpack for your tools and technician gear, this ain't it. Immensely disappointed that a company with as good a reputation as Fluke would put their name on such a terrible product.
