Good, but not a drop-in replacement
I wanted to replace a damaged 28mm nut, ordered this as well as a resin nut. Ended up using the resin one and saving this as a spare.The length and height were just right, but needed sanding to make it slim enough to match the existing slot on the mandolin neck. However disappointingly the string slots were very widely spaced, meaning the outer G and E strings would be perilously close to the edge of the frets, making it unplayable. It would be possible to re-cut the slots in the correct position, but better to start with a plain blank in that case - or use the resin nut which had the correct spacing.
