Lightweight and hardening properties for cartoneria mexicana
For years, we've been using diluted Elmer's glue or wallpaper glue to make large-scale parade puppets and art.An art teacher turned us on to Paverpol. She recommended mixing one part of the Paverpol with one part glue. It makes almost every paper seam disappear and creates a new shell that is as stiff as plastic and very, very light. To make this last even longer, I added an additional part of water and it worked just as well.

Sculpture made easy
At first I was concerned about the price. After a great deal of reading and viewing various YouTube videos, I ordered a small 500 g jar ofPaverpol and I was very impressed with how easy it was to work with and the marvelous results. After that first try, I then ordered all the other Paverpol products and have not been disappointed with any of them. The book, on the other hand was not an easy read. The instructions were difficult and referenced diagrams that did not exist. Was hoping there would be another instruction book, but have not found it yet. I did try less expensive brands of hardeners but the end results was not as effective.

Fun
I used this to make a statue from fabric in my yard and it lasted outside for around six years

Multiple Coats makes the fibers stiffer!
This product did not get stiff as described with crochet cotton lace. It took two coats of dry brushing more solution on top of the "cast piece" to get it to be stiff enough. The second time I used it, I did not dilute the product as directed. I used less water when I mixed it and dipped the pieces and draped them over the mold. After it dried, I dry brushed the product straight on top of the crochet lace and this was much more successful. I did create a plexiglass structure behind the crochet lace to stabilize the sculpture. I will use it again, but I will not dilute the product as much.

Lots of uses! Stiffen or harden any fabric.
Great stuff for my felted 3D sculptures! I dilute and brush over a sculpture for a nice firm finish that sets the wool felt in place wirhout over hardening.Dries fast. Dilute to stiffen, full strength to harden wool, fabric. Many other uses i have yet to explore!

Decent product, ridiculously expensive
I bought 1000g of this stuff for a large scale project, which makes fabric really hard, but it is so expensive that I will not be using it.I was working on an art project and it definitely made the fabric stiff, but left it looking wet and it had a crunchy texture, similar to a potato chip. It turned out to not be the right solution for my project because of this factor and the cost.I did a few tests, and it is very similar in results to Stiffy and Mod Podge. I found the other two products to be more flexible when dry, like rubber or acrylic, but the Paverpol seemed like it would "snap" in half when bent.
