Bought two of these for my sister & sister-in-law - they loved it! It is super easy to use and not too bulky, was in perfect condition. You need to slide the loaves of bread in half first but still so much easier than slicing the entire loaf by hand.

Very good slicer perfect for the sourdough bread making. I added a little pusher guided by the base board. I just love the slicer.

It works well. It auctions to my granite countertop well. You have to be careful to keep your fingers curled just like when slicing with a knife. You have to manually push the bread simultaneously with cranking the handle while holding your loaf firmly. If you slice a fresh baked loaf of sourdough, if you only slice one slice- you have to push it through with your finger. If you slice the entire loaf - each new slice pushes the next out the back of slicer. I am a sourdough home baker. I think it works well.

this does cut bread but the blade seems dull and the guide slips, the tool to lock the guide does not fit over the nut to tighten down completely. I was very dissapointed in this product. I am returning it and going for the far more costly but hopefully better german made cutter. i would not purchase this again and would nor recomment anyone buy this item.

Poor quality. I used it for 3/4 of one loaf and the finish was worn off in several places. The cutting structure is so flimsy wobbles when you crank it. Not sure how long it will be before it breaks or pulls through the wooden base. It cuts fine but the design of this type cutter forces the bread to snake to the right. (See picture - I added a line to it to show the path)It fractures the crust to do so resulting in crumbs everywhere. It does cut nice consistent slices though. Just not worth the mess or likely poor lifespan. While it does take up counter space, it is no more than a cutting board. The suction cup feet do a good job of holding it to the counter.

Got this for my mother because she kept cutting her fingers cutting her sourdough. She hasn’t cut her fingers since! I was worried about it being hard to turn the thing. But she was able to and loves it.

Love that this item has suction cups to stay stationary. I can choose my own thickness. Yes it gets messy but that’s to be expected with cutting bread.

I love this bread slicer. I have started making bread at home and this makes it so easy to cut slices easily and whatever size you need.
