3 envelopes per box and you are getting 3 boxes for a total of 9 bars in original USGI surplus packaging. GI surplus; SEALED US GI surplus envelopes for long term storage; We have used these bars as a sure fire system even with soggy tender and less than ideal camping situations.

Field Tested Product
I used Trioxane fuel bars when I was in the Military, so I was already familiar with their quality. I had occasion to use the fire starter bars during the Texas Snow-pocalypse in February 2021 from a previous purchase. The fuel bars performed as I expected. I am pleased with my purchase as a return customer.

Awesome product, but its surplus, take the good with the bad.
(More like 4.5 but not the sellers fault really. One of the boxes only had 2 in it the 3rd was just an empty package of air. They should have checked but its surplus, what are you going to do?) Had just cut the grass in the morning, had rain all afternoon and got these in the mail. Boxes said they were made in 1983!!! So I wanted to put these to the test. I grabbed a handful of wet grass clippings and put a full bar on top. In less than a minute the grass was dry and burning. Holy sh!t balls! These things are my go to fire starter in my EDC bag, my hiking bag and my camping pack from now on, if I can't get a fire started with these and just a fraction of what I already know I deserve to be wet and miserable. Will be buying these again. ( hopefully no air packages this time)

These things are kindof expensive to test so I just used like 20 bucks of them and I got about a day's meals out of them.Would relegate to the Fire Starters category unless you have a government contract and can get them for free.

This product is very efficient for lighting campfires or fireplaces
There's nothing to dislike about this item, which is the easiest---and simplest---way to safely get a campfire or fireplace lit.

Easy light fire starter
Easy to light, had a fire going from flint and steel within minutes. The foil pack helps contain the extra bit you don't use (don't need to use the whole bit to start a fire) and it's lightweight.
