Gantz Omnibus Volume 1

I had heard great things about this manga but never bothered to read it since the plot seemed too generic. Boy was I wrong! Everything shines here. The art, the writing, the characters, the action, the humor, the pacing, it's all perfect. The breadcrumbs of lore given are so great, they filled me with a sense of wonder. That's what every manga should do and this one is certainly getting it right! Can't wait to read omnibus 2!

I love this book! If you go into it not really overthinking it and just enjoying the crazy ride it will definitely be a fun and entertaining read! Of course this is more for a mature audience. I dont recommend this for kids. Lol

It is a really good story some points it kind of drags but it is really good

Even though I have read a few of the Japanese Manga books over the years I am not usually a fan of this type of genre; however, when I saw this huge Manga story book on Amazon (Gantz Omnibus Volume 1 by Hiroya Oku) I decided to purchase it.I found the drawings were great and the story was interesting but very weird. This unusual and strange tale is about a group of people who may or may not have died but are somehow thrown together in uncanny and frightening situations. There is not a whole lot of dialog, but the story moves along quickly as each section of the story is told.I love American graphic novels like Jonah Hex, The Punisher and other action characters, but I found it difficult to grasp the message this particular Japanese Manga story was supposed to relate to the reader. As someone who has been into numerous Japanese martial (Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Kenjutsu, Tanto-Jutsu) and cultural arts (Haiku, Tanka and Senryu poetry) I do appreciate different cultural trends, but I admit to not being into the Manga books. Lo compré dos veces, una por accidente xd. Y debo decir que en ambas vino en perfectas condiciones. La historia inicia cruda y es un principio directo, bastante memorable que te darán ganas de releer una vez acabas todos los volumenes. El diseño de personajes es bastante bueno, especialmente el primer grupo y uno de mis personajes predilectos que apareció allí fue: "Blondie". El travesti, o el que parecía mujer xd. Qué buen manga.

My girlfriend recommended this to me. I was on the fence about it. Purchased it and have no regrets. I finished it as fast and ordered volume 2 before I was even done the first. Just going off of reading the bio I wasn’t completely sold. But I really do like it and will likely finish the series. I recommend it

Estou curtindo demais a história, qualidade excelente do material e acho que posso recomendar mesmo estando em inglês porquê não é um inglês extremamente complexo, eu mesmo não estou tendo dificuldades.

Great story if you're a cynic with gratuitous violence and a side of titillation
