I had previously purchased a 15 lb blanket from another seller and always wished it were heavier. This time, I bought the twin sized, 20 lb blanket. I'm 5'2 and 110 lbs and it is HEAVY. Crushingly so. I understand the comments saying that they/their girlfriend were unable to move. It effectively prevents me from tossing the blanket off in the night and it does help me stay asleep.

This is the best blanket I've had. Hands down. The best sleep I've had in a long time. I didn't wake up to every noise! It's cooling so I didn't overheat. Just the right amount of weight. I slept so good I was drooling 😅 I got the purple one.

I am a 'heavy blanket' person. Until now, that has meant 4 or 5 blankets in the winter and I have never, ever been a good sleeper. I was positive a weighted blanket would work at least somewhat in my case. I went by the chart to determine the blanket weight for my size. I am honestly blown away. Yes, I thought it would be better than my current set up, but didn't realize how fantastic it would be. I live in a 'long winter' climate, so I had no worries about warmth - just pop one more blanket on top and I'll be fine. From the moment I climbed in, I was asleep. Again, I've never been a good sleeper but since getting this blanket, I sleep amazingly better. In the meantime, we had a few very hot days and my bedroom is on the second floor so it stays in the 70's at night and I was afraid that the blanket would be too warm. It wasn't! I can't say it 'cooled' me, but it was definitely not too warm, or for that matter even just warm. I was just comfortable. Now that the cold is back, it has superior warmth even without another blanket on top - just the sheet and the weighted blanket. So far it has held up to my tugging and pulling. It's a decent design and the material is comfortable and soft. I have a king bed but my husband needed a different weight so I bought us each a twin and it works out beautifully. It's gonna be a great hibernation this winter! I would definitely recommend.

My daughter absolutely LOVES her blanket!!! It is soft, durable and great quality in the fabric and stitching. it holds in warmth and is still breathable material. True to a twin-size blanket, it is plenty big enough for her to curl up under when she's sleeping or just lounging around. She falls asleep so much faster, and I've noticed she doesn't roll around as much in her sleep. It's just a simple, deep navy blue blanket, but she picked the color herself and was very happy with the color. All in all it was well worth the purchase and if we ever need a replacement or to go up in weight I will definitely be coming back to this seller again! GET THIS BLANKET!

I got this to help soothe anxiety and with my sleep, and so far it’s been amazing. The fabric is soft to the touch without being slippery so if some of the weight is off the edge of the bed, it’s not hauling the whole thing off. It sits against other bedding nicely. I got the twin despite having a king bed so I could focus the weight and keep it on my side. I can also toss and turn on the bed enough that I can get out from under it without having to kick the covers off to get free. I was thinking I wanted to get a heavier weight before reading that it’s best to start at 10% of your body weight, so I was aiming for 15-20 lbs. I have some sensory sensitivities where lots of pressure helps when I’m overwhelmed, but I’m actually really happy with this 12lb. version. This suits me well for general use where heavier might have been used on an as-needed basis and not comfortable to keep on the bed every night. It’s really nice as a throw blanket while I’m reading or chilling on the couch. I feel more grounded and anchored in my relaxation, it’s some weird but tangible difference in how I exist under the even weight. I’m less aware of the textures of fabric on my skin, fleece or soft fuzzy blankets are cozy and feel nice but pressure does cozy in a way texture doesn’t and I’m realizing that now. When I’m overwhelmed, I fold the blanket to stack more weight in certain areas, so I don’t miss having a few extra pounds overall.

If you like the feeling of weight on you when you sleep but do not want to use several blankets, give this a try. I wasn’t sure about which weight to choose, so I went by the weight recommendations chart and got the 20 pound one (twin size for my half of the bed as my husband didn’t want it). I’m not sure if it curbs anxiety, but all I can say it is feels really good, especially after you get used to the weight of it. Just remember that this is heavy blanket, especially when you make the bed, or take it to be washed.

Just got this. (first thing I noticed is the box it was shipped in was marked as 18.9 pounds...and this is a 20 lb blanket?? hmmm....) Soft to the touch (even out of the package) ..no bad smells. I think overall I am going to give it a try due to the low price buuuuut....I will say the edge squares are not filled with glass beads like the rest..very flat and empty with a few grains. One of the things I liked in the description was the supposed even distribution and great stitching to keep the glass in place. However....either they shifted through bad seams or weren't filled properly. Either way...I feel like my blanket isn't as well made as advertised and lower quality. If I find having any weight improves my sleep I will likely invest in a better made blanket.

Bought this for my husband and he loves it. It has really made a difference in his sleeping.
